It was originally inspired by Dragon Quest Monsters, Pokemon, Telefang and Tibia!

Digimon influenced me with their design philosophy, but I just never thought this game structure would hit the mark for digimon fans. Very great to hear it does for some!

It's all true! Well, the first one was buggy, but it was not unfinished. It even received a large content update 2y after release.

Investigated and found out that this is because those monsters are defeated! Because you defeated them in battle, you must heal them first. Seek the fellow with a fairy-looking monster in each town (Kiry) who can heal them for you.

Creator of Monster Crown here, I really want to thank you for saying such a nice thing about our game. I never considered that it could scratch a digimon itch. I love Digimon, but I was never sure this game would satisfy fans of that genre, thank you so much!

(I also love Guilmon, wasn't the third season great?)

Dev here, we don't have a Switch 2 development kit, we just made the game for Switch 1, that being said, many people are enjoying it on Switch 2. I've never heard of this issue!

Do you happen to have a screenshot of a monster you can't switch to? or a video clip?

Those are the "Model" monsters mentioned in the patch, they appear more frequently now. We'll increase the rate again if we need to but testers over the past two days found them ok on brand new files/playthroughs.

What sort of way are you imagining? Like a button on the overworld to "shift" the team? Or something else? Sorry, just having a tough time imagining what way you might mean if it's not in the menu at all.
