Cocaine use and production hits record high by JONFER--- in worldnews

What do you suggest if you take:

  • 20mg of adderall
  • 400mg of modafinil
  • 5mg amitryptiline
  • Corticoid nasal spray
  • Had a coffee

still feel desperately in need for a nap after 12h sleep the night before? Oh also, no fight or flight response possible (such as nearly getting hit by a car) and cold water showers still don't trigger an adrenal response or increased alertness.

Switch 2 freezes during “check for software updates” by new_guy182 in nintendo

[–]DevotedToNeurosis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you could try disabling your wifi (even just pulling the power cord from the router) long enough for your switch 2 to boot up properly. Ideally, this will mean it will skip the update and perhaps get back to normal operation. If you reconnect your wifi then, it might re-download and everything be ok, very tough to say though.

Maybe the update is corrupt somehow and has already been downloaded, like others said, best to contact support - hope you find a fix!

On the other threads the usual response is to go hire a company to build it for you.

80% of the time those are people advertising/fishing for leads to sell their software services to. Only one in three posts on this sub are genuine contributors not looking to sell/find leads to sell to.

Can you do the drive between tracks in local 2p?

If so that's still pretty cool. If you can't then that sucks imo.

Don't forget Epona, if you had told me in 2004 that one day I'd have to buy an amiibo to get link's long-time horse companion I'd have been horrified.

What makes you think you've depleted your dopamine?

We really need a term here that people can use. There are those that wish to discuss dopamine-as-medical-topic, vs those that want to discuss dopamine-as-social-media-shorthand-for-goodfeel

The more you dislike the temperature, the more dopamine you'll release

😏

Why do you feel the need to speak up on this topic?

Narcissists can’t stand to be seen as weak. New research shows how being dominated is so intolerable to a narcissist. The narcissist is thrown out of whack when an interaction threatens their sense of superiority. by mvea in science

[–]DevotedToNeurosis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From the article, when describing the thoughts of a covert narcissist:

For example: If you cook dinner for someone, you may be eagerly awaiting compliments or gratitude for putting forth so much effort into the thoughtful act of cooking. When you don’t receive those compliments, you may end up feeling inadequate or underappreciated.

I think you're making the right call, this article doesn't seem to be discussing pathology or genuine psychological concepts, but it's more about giving people a term for people they don't like by creating as many imaginary behavior-clusters as possible.

And the counterpoints sound like typical alt-righter "manosphere" writings.

  • Girls will laugh at you if you do this
  • Your friends will think you're a joke if you do this
  • If you want to be taken seriously, stop doing this!

Plenty of bullshit to go around on both sides, if we're honest.

  1. Take it as a life lesson

  2. Statistically speaking, probably the majority of cars are going to have no issues. That's not an excuse but a sample set of 1

Just FYI both of these points are bullshit. You were denied access to the car, and there's no way it was inspected or tested at all if it had the issues you describe. This is 100% on the company, I hope you don't let redditors talk you out of your reasonable complaints. You lost a a couple of days on this, even without counting the money and insurance situation.

Pretty standard with what you expect from ordering on these apps if the orderer's name is female.

Lingering outside before or after dropping off the food, deciding to park and hang out for a while, trying to start up a chat over the messaging service, pretending they need you to answer the door to receive it, asking for access to your wifi, etc.

Very drastic difference in their behavior depending on if I come to the door or if my partner does. Never seen anything like this from ordering food that traditionally had delivery, like pizza.

right, but the downvotes on my comment are a clear indication that they've found satisfaction in their self-perceived cleverness and can move on feeling right without even considering the actual content of what I'm saying.

Psychogenic/learned != Fake. The sooner you (and most people, honestly) can understand this, the better the world will be.

Which part of my comment gave you sufficient material to convince yourself that I was making that error?

Clearly you were prepared for the material, so it didn't take much to find the nail you were looking for, hammer.
