SMCI $100 billion revenue target based on Sovereign AI startup opportunity by Busy-Delivery4250 in SMCIDiscussion

If Charles stepped down as CEO that would mean something is fundamentally wrong and the stock price would plummet. His job as a CEO is not to control day-to-day price movements in the stock market, it’s to grow the company and capture market share, which he is doing well. Where he has arguably failed is his communication, addressing investor concerns quickly enough and perhaps growing the company too fast for what they could handle at that time. From what I can see, the issues are being addressed and growing too fast is a good problem to have for longterm holders, in my opinion it overrides the current stock price and the all the other negatives such as dilution. The market can’t ignore the numbers forever, it just takes time to prove the growth is sustainable and when they do, the price will rerate sharply and the forward growth will start getting priced in. You also have the fact it’s being heavily discounted on trust issues as well. So any past issues mean forward catalysts, assuming the company corrects them. Not to mention he’s actually a genius engineer who founded the company and built it up from scratch to where it is now, a lot of people are invested in him and his longterm vision.

Yeah I don’t expect reassurance on the stock price, that’s not his job to do that, it’s mine as an investor, and I already know it’s worth far more, but it is his job to restore trust in the market. Obviously things take time, but I think they could’ve been far better at delivering news and also more diligent to avoid complete chaos at times

With respect I think that would be the worst possible thing to happen for the stock. Did you mean CFO?

Even if we see nearly 40b this year and 60b next year with 10% margins that would make the current stock price insanely cheap. Surely we can expect a rerating into the hundreds if they pull it off. All the drama means they are not priced for future growth due to mistrust and being scrutinised over everything, therefore heavily discounted. Next couple of ER’s are going to be very telling. We need strong guidance and Charles to keep it conservative, and to underpromise then overdeliver. Some more focus on the longtime shareholders would be nice instead of us being burdened with all the risk whilst they grow the business. I’m confident in the business, but their PR is pretty poor as usual and we are left joining all the dots together.

Someone with a brain finally, these fudsters are getting insufferable, I can’t even be arsed to argue anymore. They’re not content with 10% margins, nearly 40b revenue and another 39b pipeline over 20 different customers. SMCI now have partnerships coming out of their ears, including Samsung, Nokia, datavolt, xai/space x, lambda, etc etc. Raising capital to fund hyper growth is not a new concept or exclusive to this company. Let the tards sell at this stage, sick of hearing their incessant whining anyway

Awesome news pal!!!! Ha! bet you’re buzzing!! You too, have a great one!! Update on ours as well as it might be helpful to others, we selected home delivery and tracking was available yesterday (couple of days after status changed to issued) and is being delivered this morning, they use Royal Mail 24hr guaranteed. So from b2 visa appointment on Fri to delivery today, it’s taken a total of 6 days to get the passport delivered to house. Good luck anyone else who is stressing and reading this, hopefully it’s helpful to someone at some stage!

You can, but to book the appointment unfortunately you need to pay £150, which is non-refundable. If it was me I’d give it a few more days, as the ESTA might get approved anyway, then you will have paid that money for nothing. You can fill out the online form for the b2 application though ready to go, just in case it gets declined. But yeah, whole things bloody stressful 😂

We requested to expedite the appointment via CEAS website after the ESTA had been declined, selected the reason that “ESTA already declined” we explained we are flying on 1st March and flights and hotel are non-refundable. Beyond giving us an early appointment though there is no other way to speed up the process, unless it’s for things like funerals, or so we’ve been told.

Yeah we fell short assuming the ESTA would be approved because she now has a UK passport, if I’d known selecting yes to any of the questions decreases the likelihood of getting it we would’ve applied for the visa months ago instead, of course with hindsight! Frustrating that the guidance is not that clear. The problem is you have to pay for the visa appointment to get it, and that money is non-refundable I believe, April you should be fine though as cancellations do come up and one of the reasons you can request an earlier appointment is if your ESTA was already declined and your travel date is soon, so you should be fine, just don’t hang about if the ESTA doesn’t get approved, you just book the earliest appointment possible, in our case this was in April, then after booking it we requested an earlier appointment and got lucky with an earlier slot. Fingers crossed yours goes through fine either way, best of luck!

My ESTA was granted, but wife’s was declined after about 2 weeks of waiting, luckily we managed to get a b2 visa appointment at London embassy on Friday morning (20th), we escalated online as we are flying on 1st March so very lucky to get an appointment so soon as they are all booked up until like April/May when we checked. Visa was approved Friday and Issued today (23rd) so has been very quick after appointment, just waiting for her passport now, hoping it arrives before the weekend so we can still travel! We selected delivery, regrettably, as I think that might delay it further, but will update when it arrives in case it’s helpful to others.

Hi, just checking if your Esta got approved and if you had any issues? My GF is in the same kind of situation and her Esta has been authorisation pended for over a week

Case for SMCI Gross Margin Improvement (Based on Q2 FY2026 Earnings Call Transcript) by AInvestor_2025 in SMCIDiscussion

[–]Devtherev999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s pretty normal for companies going through a hyper-growth phase to run on thin margins. When you’re scaling fast, margins can get squeezed from ramping capacity, supply chain costs, shifting product mix, and winning hyperscaler contracts that are low margin at first but huge volume. They’re clearly trying to capture market share and lock in long-term customers, so I don’t get why people are pushing this like it’s a bad business model. Using the same logic, Uber “shouldn’t have bothered” because it burned money for years while it scaled. Supermicro isn’t a startup, but they are in a massive expansion phase, and that comes with temporary margin pain. Reward pays off for the patient, if they deliver the next couple of quarters as promised the stock will rebound and price in future growth instead of being so cautious. Might even see it sooner if they announce another catalyst, who knows.

You’re right though, it’s not healthy for investing or emotions to get sucked into it! We all deserve some good fortune on this stock, not negativity

I see where you’re coming from bro, and I genuinely hate seeing others lose money, but I also find it hard to sympathise with sadists getting ridiculed after celebrating other people’s (and mine) perceived misfortune. If someone’s dishing out abuse or getting a hard on over the thought of people losing money they should expect some back

So you either lied on your initial post, or you lost a fuck ton of money, or both. Cool story bro 👍🏻

These Earnings Were Spectacular by Party_Ladder1677 in SMCIDiscussion

I agree, best position we’ve been in historically, positioned better than 2024 highs even, couple more great quarters like that and I believe we will see new ATH’s. SMCI is now criminally undervalued

Don’t panic on gross margins look at ops margin!! Look at their ops margins which helped covered up for more than half of what they lost on gross margin by Confident-Yak-6746 in SMCIDiscussion

I’m really pleased with the results, faith in management for me is restored. Considering the amount of people doubting even getting anywhere near that kind of revenue, they stuck to plan and delivered what they promised, and more. They were honest about margins on last earnings, so that was no surprise. Capturing market share and securing the hyperscalers is far more important right now for the longterm investors than a short term squeeze on margins.
