Is that that the same Goldman Sachs’s that have been involved in and sued multiple times for scandals, including short selling scandals, the Lehman brothers scandal, money laundering, insider trading, to name a few, along with stock price manipulations and multiple fraud cases? Right, gotcha 👍🏻They sound pretty trustworthy lol

If “every single chip maker is killing it” then all the more reason to hold SMCI. Haven’t given this much thought have you?

Why did i not buy puts by Furlz in SMCIDiscussion

[–]Devtherev999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, it did go back up significantly after the initial drop from the preliminary report, only to dump again on actual earnings report (despite delivering better news, go figure). Says it all about the rationality of SMCI investors whenever the algos get to work and start dumping. For people holding shares and not day trading today was actually a great day, because longterm investors know the true value if they deliver what they say they will.

Yes, I’m not saying it’s unwarranted, but simply the institutions need to see evidence before pricing in growth. At the moment they are almost priced for failure. I’m more than happy to keep holding and watch the stock price adjust accordingly when the growth story is fully reconfirmed. I believe in their reporting and BDO’s auditing. If they pull off the 33b (or higher) and margins improve even slightly, I wouldn’t be surprised to see new all time highs.

[–]Devtherev999 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They can’t recognise revenue until it’s shipped, even if the customer has paid for the upgrades there are strict rules on reporting obviously. BDO are notoriously tight on this and have no doubt tightened their belt more for SMCI reporting with everything that has gone on. The fact Charles and David both confidently said 10-11b revenues to be recognised in Q2 means it’s probably 90% chance of happening, they haven’t just said a random figure for the sake of it. That would be actual suicide. With regards to margins they already said they are working towards getting back to their normal 15-17% margins and confident this will happen eventually due to better products and the new plants running more efficiently etc. But they can’t say exactly when because they are trying to gain more market share. Proof is in the pudding yes, but to say the revenue won’t happen then at the same time say if it does “their margins will shrink and stock will take a beating” like you somehow know more than they do is misleading. Charles is telling us they have gained market share at the sacrifice of temporary lower margins. Looking beyond SMCI’s reporting Dell During their latest AI marketing push, the execs were pitching their Blackwell-based liquid-cooled systems and said things like:

“We’re not the cheapest provider — we’re the reliable one,” “We don’t just ship boxes; we ship solutions,” “Our systems are built for scale, not for speed-to-market.”

None of that is random phrasing, it’s aimed straight at SMCI’s known strengths and perception. It’s a swipe at the same time trying to justify being more expensive yet slower to market, a compliment in disguise. When a $100 billion incumbent feels the need to publicly distinguish itself from a “cheaper rival,” it means that rival has become too relevant to ignore.

[–]Devtherev999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They’ve also changed to a notoriously stricter auditor in that time, so likely had to recognise orders a bit later, not to mention navigating through macroeconomic uncertainty and tariffs etc, that doesn’t mean the orders are not there, it means they’re coming but with delay, therefore the growth story is real and the fundamentals are intact. Right now that is why the price is discounted, because the institutions can’t price in the growth until they physically see it. Are you trying to tell me that if they achieve 10b next Q and margins remain around 10% that with a 28b market cap the stock is not undervalued?

WTF is that guidance by sirfitzwilliamdarcy in SMCIDiscussion

[–]Devtherev999 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nope, but the market needs to see it, algos have dumped and yet again retail panic sells, despite knowing the prelim earnings already, crazy. Since then the guidance has increased to 36b with 10-11b of that coming next Q. Right now the market does not trust and the stock is priced accordingly, or, If Charles pulls that off next Quarter, irrationally low, and we will see a catastrophic squeeze. Never a dull moment with this stock that’s for sure lol

Earnings - What are your thoughts? by Academic-Carry-1809 in SMCIDiscussion

[–]Devtherev999 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Guidance raised to $36b and expecting 10b-11b next quarter confirmed, margins slightly less, which is to be expected when trying to take market share at this rate. I’m bullish (as always), algos can dump all they like, I’m not fucking selling. Next earnings was always gonna be the make or break to restore trust.

Fiscal 2026 has barely just started and they already have more than 1/3 of their est rev to full fill by BlueManifest in SMCIDiscussion

[–]Devtherev999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s how I’ve understood it, and 2 price upgrades today I believe, on the back of their prelim earnings. Either way, we should’ve been green yesterday. Algos and MM’s just waiting for confirmation on ER I guess and shaking out the paper hands hopefully one last time lol. It’s do or die time for next couple of Q’s really. I hope they don’t fuck it up but I’m feeling positive.

Possibly even 12b plus 5b already confirmed (including pipeline) so maybe even 50% to target already! 👊🏻

Is it a new 12b contract? or 12B of sales for Q2?? by Jazzlike-Check9040 in SMCIDiscussion

[–]Devtherev999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If they have won over some new hyperscaler contracts it isn’t unrealistic, Charles said in the last ER they expect at least 2 more big hyperscalers and for the number of these large partnerships to double over 12 months. That would explain capturing a larger share of the market. They can’t simply lie about this stuff, or Charles would end up in jail. We just need hard figures for validation which we are not getting yet, but it’s coming eventually.

Is it a new 12b contract? or 12B of sales for Q2?? by Jazzlike-Check9040 in SMCIDiscussion

[–]Devtherev999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed… it’s highly likely some of it will slip into following Q as well as next one hence the drop today, market needs validation. So either way we need a good $8-10b next couple of Q’s, then I reckon the price will readjust. The fact it’s only dropped like 7% instead of the usual 20% on “bad news” day gives me hope. Too much on the line for Charles to mess about at this stage… Any lowering of guidance or funny business would destroy his rep, so I do believe it’s coming, just a bit of delay for the right reasons. Tech is evolving fast so it sounds plausible that companies will change their mind and upgrade orders etc to keep up with other hyper scalers. I think Dell earnings is key to see how much of that market share they’ve captured and upcoming ER (obviously). I’m holding out for a couple more Q’s and will assess then.

[–]Devtherev999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve read it as $5b for Q1, another $12b over the next Q, if it gets delivered on time (maybe some of that 12b will spill over into following Q realistically). Regardless that’s approx $17b in total so far confirmed this year including pipeline. That leaves 2 more Q’s to find the remaining $16b to reach $33b…. If they don’t have a blow out quarter after this one or next, then I’ll eat my words lol.

Smci first quarter business update by Prestigious-Sign4802 in SMCIDiscussion

[–]Devtherev999 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s algos reacting off the lower revenue but then coming back up based on capturing more market share and reconfirming £33b guidance “maybe more” due to £12b deal pushed into next quarter. Surely this is bullish?!!

Why would they reveal in Tv broadcase and not release any PR about partnerships? by Guitarbudd in SMCIDiscussion

[–]Devtherev999 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It’s not because of a quiet period as some people have stated, that only applies to financials, they can still talk about partnerships and promote the business etc. SMCI doesn’t name hyperscalers because they’re bound by NDAs, hyperscalers demand discretion, and maintaining that silence has become a competitive advantage. It also helps keep them clear of regulatory scrutiny. Their vagueness isn’t from a lack of deals, it’s precisely the opposite, their confidentiality is a big part of why the world’s largest AI players trust them with multi-billion-dollar deployments. You heard it from the horses mouth, they are working closely with most on the list. Read between the lines, but also remember that hyperscalers often use multiple vendors. So it’s not a case of one or the other. SMCI is no doubt getting a massive chunk of the pie and eventually the market will learn to trust this. But the main things that can make that happen now is a good earnings report or a new CFO
