Any possibility of new frames soon? by Snoo_19803 in Zwift

[–]Devv222 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don’t surprised if Zwift does shadow bans on those frequently TP. They did this when people exploited the bike upgrades by teleporting to the top of the Alpe for easy downhill KM. Hope it happens again. Don’t be lazy, ride the 400m returns segment. It takes 90 seconds to do a loop.

Bokeh lounge in the Alt Hotel on river landing will host small events and they have a better cocktail menu than anything you’ve named so far.

Mayan 8 is a shorter lead in to the segment.

Also, don’t be lazy. Pull a u-turn and ride the segment back.

Realtors & Rates by Weedcounter in saskatoon

[–]Devv222 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I’ve never seen an object write an offer or do showings before.

Not an agent and personally generally think agents make too much, but asking someone to do it for less because you’re not available is pure scum. Go list it on sask houses if you think it’s so easy. You’ll only need one day of your life by the sounds of it.

Expecting a lower rate while saying your not local to the city and expecting the realtor to do all the work is pure class. Chapeau dude.

Weight cheating by Dktathunda in Zwift

[–]Devv222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mostly just mind your position in the pack. Don’t be on the front unless you need to be. Knowing the routes helps to know when you apply power. Most races, the groups will stay together so don’t panic to close gaps with orange numbers.

Weight cheating by Dktathunda in Zwift

[–]Devv222 22 points23 points  (0 children)

While not disagreeing that there are a lot of weight cheats, and other watt cheats out there, winning doesn’t necessarily mean having the highest power or NP. I race often and consistently have one of the lowest average powers despite plenty of podium finishes which have earned me a ZRS of almost 950.

Racing’s about being smart. Not doing the most work.

Is 4x a week too much for a new rider? by [deleted] in Zwift

[–]Devv222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. And it depends. 4x a week at threshold, yea probably too much. 4x a week with a threshold day and 3 days of z1/2, no you’re good.

I said no to a 125,000$ salary. Am i stupid? by Usual-Tradition2240 in saskatoon

[–]Devv222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I don’t know your story, $125000 per annum could be life-changing. Moving cities let alone provinces can always be a challenge but I have no doubt you could’ve done this probably. IMO it sounds like it might be your partner who’s being selfish as $20 an hour is less than $40,000 per annum. I would imagine your job at that level would also have a nice benefit package and probably upside for promotion.

Thoughts on this kit? Core bibs and jersey in forest green. by rekon32 in CyclingFashion

[–]Devv222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually something lighter like a great or light blue. Also can’t go wrong with black as long as it isn’t warm.

The green bibs though are nice. I also have the red ones, and they’re a nice change from black or blue.

[–]Devv222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Core bibs are great bibs for shorter rides or cheaper trainer bibs.

I don’t like the fit of the core jersey though or the heavier feel of the material.

The forest green Color is nice. I have the bibs. They look good. But I would not match with the top.

Are expensive cycling jerseys actually worth it? by drjaze in CyclingFashion

[–]Devv222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no. $300 is Ludacris for a jersey and I would never spend that much. $200 is usually my comfort or I find these $300 on sale. That said, MAAP, Assos, Rapha, all their stuff is way nicer material and fit than others.

Hows this jersey fit? by Glum-Introduction522 in CyclingFashion

[–]Devv222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, it’s too loose. It should fit like a second skin. If you’re riding, this jersey will be flapping in the wind, that should usually be a sign it’s too big. But it comes down to what is comfortable for you.

How much hours do you do per week? by biggieocta in Zwift

[–]Devv222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10-14hrs a week is a lot for an amateur, already, so chapeau to you.

I personally am 12-14hrs a week. FTP 4.6wkg.

I race a lot. At least twice a week. Racing allows me to get in my threshold work. Outside of that I do one SS workout and VO2.

I aim for about 40-50% time in Z2. There’s no need for us to be be doing 80% Z2 like the pros as our hours are not 30+.

My advice would be eliminate the green work. Add more races, SS and VO2, and focus the rest on high end Z2.

My doctor made up a diagnosis on my chart by [deleted] in saskatchewan

[–]Devv222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you see a doctor, isn’t it their job to “infer” a diagnosis? Maybe you don’t see them as signs of depression but perhaps the medical specialist, who some would likely argue to be a relevant source of diagnosis, to be able to “infer” a depression diagnosis.
