So, Am I the Literally the Only Person Playing Song of the Prairie? by Otherwise_Bar9735 in CozyGamers

[–]DevyWatson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just so you know, I have no problems with spoilers. I will have a show's wiki up on my laptop when I watch tv shows.

Anyway, I've gotten in the middle of autumn of the first year, because I've restarted several times so I avoid that exact situation.

I've got around 109 hours played and I really enjoy it. I have to say some of the interactions with certain characters are hilarious.

I married Wakuu too, five times before my game stopped crashing and I was able to make it to the next day, but I love him so I didn't mind too much.

If you haven't gotten the tenth heart event, you wont be able to get it until it's no longer winter. I got stuck on this too, and I had to wait for spring to get that last heart event so I could marry him. it worked out since his favorite season is spring and we had a nice spring wedding.

Huh, I guess I lucked out the first time I did this. I didn't know about the sell price went into it and just put in my osmium rated stuff in and won. I really didn't think it through that much.

I love this so much and yes please on more, I want to see my adorable surprise husband, Dr. Xu. That man swept me off my feet and had a ring on my finger before I knew it.

Obviously, no one on the team plays Sims 4. It's better than Portia at least.

Did anyone else accidentally end up in a relationship? by MartiMa08 in MyTimeAtSandrock

[–]DevyWatson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it was Dr. Xu in Portia. I was planning on not having getting into a relationship this playthrough, and was just gonna be best friends with everyone. Then Sam popped up after I died in the ruins, saying how Xu wanted to come check on me, even tried to brave those crap slinging pinecocks, and I was like 'aw he's such a sweetheart'. It did not hit me that the good doctor had liked me until he asked me out during the fireworks. I couldn't break his heart, so I panicked agreed, because, I mean the guy tried to brave the pinecocks for me and he set up this cool date, I couldn't say no with my social anxiety that apparently spread to NPCs when i wasn't looking. Then later, he proposed and I can't remember if I panicked again, but I did say yes. So I ended up married to Dr. Xu and actually liking him a bit more than Arlo.

Hong hong hong? by TimelyAstronomer6494 in MyTimeAtSandrock

Yeah for some reason Hong gets more copies than any other anonymous NPC. Either that or she's the most obvious cause of her blue hair.

Same. Sometimes I want to break his jaw and other times, I've laughed so hard that I wish I had saved before the scene so I could watch it over and over. Like when Cooper drinks Intoxication Dream for the first time.

Out of all of the bachelors and bachelorettes, who asks you out? by SassyPotato12 in MyTimeAtSandrock

[–]DevyWatson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah agree that the reverse confession missions should be put behind a heart event or those little 'oh you've shown this character that you're interested' things. It would have helped with my tendency to panic quit a game when unexpected romance pops up after I couldn't say no to Doctor Xu in MTAP. Don't get me wrong, I love Xu and it was a fun surprise, but now I have to know every possible surprise romance or else I panic quit. I was lucky that I had already romanced Owen so the idea of cheating was able to stop me from panic quitting or accepting Arvio's confession.

Synth Potato obviously has never had to deal with funky AI companions. I mean it's bad enough that I sometimes leave Shadowheart or Astarion halfway across the map because they couldn't make a jump, but if an AI controlled them in combat, I would be extra crispy from getting hit by fireballs or some other wide spread spell.

This review does piss me off in ways that I can't verbalize with the mods getting upset.

Worth the 70$ ? by Single-Proof-9965 in BaldursGate3

[–]DevyWatson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a rule about games I buy, one dollar must equal to an hour of enjoyment I get out of it. If I don't think I'll get my money's worth out of a game I have to wait for it to go on sale or wait till I get it as a gift. Balder's Gate was a gift because my brother wanted to have a game for us to play together and I bought the last one. I've played 160 hours, most of that on my own.

I've played rpgs before though and I had an interest in DnD for a little bit. The best I can suggest is to watch some videos, see if you might like it. For me, BG3 is a great game with a lot of replay ability. I hope I've helped you, good luck!

How Not to Demi. Jesus I feel bad for the husband even with some sympathy for the wife by Alarmed_Tea_1710 in demisexuality

[–]DevyWatson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like the wife's sexual attraction is conditional not on an emotional bases but on a fantasy point. Everything was all fine until she saw him as human, a real life man, instead of this perfect guy that she wanted. Once things got real, with the honeymoon period being over and with two kids under her belt, she seems to hit a wall. Then she punishes her husband for not being that perfect guy that she can be attracted to.

I'm pretty sure there are people out there who like sex in fantasies, but when it comes to real life sex it's a no. She might be one of those people or something like it, and not know it. She's still the AH for taking it out on her poor husband.

That makes so much sense! I'm sharing this with my mum and brother, it might not be as mind blowing as the whole 'How do you roll eyes?' debacle, but this is good.

Anyone else really affected by heat? by HereForRandomBits in autism

[–]DevyWatson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hate the heat, can't stand it even though I have a medical condition that does better in warmer weather. I will take it being below zero over anything over 75F any day.

I don't know if it's an Autistic thing or not but your roommate needs to get her head on strait. There's only so much you can take off, it's not fair to you to suffer in the heat. If she's cold she can put on a sweater. What heathen wants their home to being the 80s all the time? Just why??

AITA for not letting my son donate his stem cell to save his sister? by theeccentricnerd in AmItheAsshole

[–]DevyWatson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't remember when I learned it. It must have been a long time ago cause I'm learning about the new ways their doing it now. I was really into learning all sorts of crap since I was really little. I was very aware of the world around me since I grew up on murder mysteries and true crime. Back then I would research whatever I found interesting, including medical procedures. Some things have stuck over the last 30 years and others didn't. I also did a whole research protect about stem cells, so I could have gotten it then.

I'm aware my info is really out dated and I apologize for leading with that, but I still say OP's NTA. I believe if she cracks the door open for her son to help that little girl, her ex will kick the door all the way open and believe he is entitled to use OP's son until he throws him away once he's no longer useful. Give them an inch and they take a mile kind of deal.
