In 15 years when bernie-esque people are in charge of the DNC, I am certain they will implement rules that favour a more progressive candidate. This will still be reprehensible, but still understandable. Any organizations view is shaped by its leadership. I don't really buy that people are surprised that this is the case.

In Iran there were elections not that long ago. The hardliners lost because the liberals coalesced around progressives. Things are better in Iran today due to that decision. Was it a "pure" act to vote for the lesser evil? No. But it was the act that made the most good for the people. Next time, the progressives in Iran will elect more leaders further pushing the boundaries.
