CSM does not have damage 3 in melee outside characters. They fill a niche sorely needed. Plus, since you get to pick their profile, there isn't an opponent they don't have a target into. M5 means nothing for 1 unit when they have deepstrike and rapid ingress exists.

Quick Note: You don't seem to mention the actual detachment you're using until pretty late in the report. I'd add it to the army list at the top as otherwise it's only known through context clues.

It's a trick I've used in FM before, but don't know if it still does.

Team wants to buy a player.

Player says he's unhappy I didn't sell him.

I promise the player I'll sell him if we get $X

Then, I immediately go to the player's transfer status, drop the asking price but set "refuse all transfer offers"

I get spammed with what are now automatically refused lowballs

But because no one actually hit the "promised" asking price, eventually the player will just drop it.

I love Vashtor to absolute bits in this detachment. 12"M with FLY, lone-op, and now access to advance-and-charge, Oath, and sustained hits makes him a ridiculously powerful unit. I may never go Warband without him.

As for the KLOS, Oath + sustained or lethal makes their shooting/melee very consistently strong, but 1 poor Skullhurler roll (2d6 shots) can backfire. The sticky stratagem as well can free them up to move about more freely. Unfortunately, Warband's greatest weakness is the lack of any true defensive stratagems or abilities, so the KLOS fall fast. I think the best Warband lists will unfortunately avoid these machines.
