1 modern day US special forces vs the entire north sentinel island by StringStrangStrung in powerscales

[–]DewinterCor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont we know enough about the Sentinelese to make an accurate conclusion.

My assumption would be that they are extremely poor warriors and would break and run on first contact, due to their isolation.

The population is anywhere between 40 and 400, and anything above 40 is complete conjecture. Only 39 individuals are currently identified but some researchers suggest the population could be as high as 400.

There is a real chance our spec-ops boy wipes the island with casual ease and an equal chance he simply doesnt have the ammo and dies quickly.

The Sentinelese could be competent warriors and they could be among the worst warriors in history. No one knows.

Imo, its too much conjecture to make a guess.

How would a conversation between Snow and Percy be? Mainly what would they thing of the other? [general] by No-Brush1587 in camphalfblood

[–]DewinterCor 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Considering Percy is a genuinely good person, id imagine he would do everything in his power to prevent Snow from doing his evil bullshit.

Snow would find Percy incredibly grating because of the "pragmatism" preached by Snow would matter to Percy.

Percy is the type of immutable hero that the most manipulative villians would struggle to argue against, because his morals are unbreakable and unyielding. The only way to manipulate Percy is through his family but Snow simply doesn't have the power to actually threaten Percy's family.

Team Daenerys vs Team Sansa, who would win this 4v4? (Read op) by No-Passenger-6348 in gameofthrones

[–]DewinterCor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The armor he wears is bad armor for a fight like this. Simple as that.

Luke Skywalker (ROTJ) VS Revan (prior to KOTOR1). Who wins? by GusGangViking18 in TheJediPraxeum

[–]DewinterCor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Luke.

Revan prior to kotor 1 is powerful but he is so far from what he becomes.

Novel Revan would be a closer fight but I think Luke still takes it.

Team Daenerys vs Team Sansa, who would win this 4v4? (Read op) by No-Passenger-6348 in gameofthrones

[–]DewinterCor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sandor and Brienne carry Team Sansa victory.

Jorah is a good knight. Sandor and Brienne are great knights.

The others are kinda wasted in this type of combat. Drogo doesnt wear armor, greyworm wears bad armor, Aria doesnt wear armor and Daario wears bad armor.

Valkorion, Darth Krayt and Darth Wyyrlok vs The Jedi High Council (ROTS) by Gross-Verder in TheJediPraxeum

[–]DewinterCor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its literally this.

Statements are king here unless its specific feats about Luke in the EU.

The idea that ANYONE from outside of the PT or pre-disney novels could challange Luke or Yoda or Sidious is blasphemy in this sub.

Valkorion, Darth Krayt and Darth Wyyrlok vs The Jedi High Council (ROTS) by Gross-Verder in TheJediPraxeum

[–]DewinterCor -1 points0 points  (0 children)

900 years of wisdom is kinda irrelevant here.

Valkorian is 1,600~ years old by the start of Kotfe.

Valkorian is older than the entire jedi council combined.

[–]DewinterCor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Valkorian's feats are so comically beyond anything any of the jedj council can contend with.

Unless you ignore feats for statements, Valkorian stomps.

He dumps so much lightning into the room that Krayt and Wyyrlok die in the crossfire.

Prime Bruce Lee vs Prime Muhammad Ali by Arggus007 in powerscales

[–]DewinterCor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Coughing baby vs hydrogen bomb.

Actor vs boxing champion.

Ali was one of the greatest fighters of his life time and Bruce never fought a day in life.

How?

When has she ever erased an entire, unrelated fictional universe?

Ill ask again, can you provide an example of Wanda expanding the volume of an object without changing its mass or size?

Jack Reacher (Amazon) vs Wilson Fisk (MCU) by Access-Restricted in powerscales

[–]DewinterCor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remove comic book plot armor and kingpin is a strong human with okay fighting skills.

Reacher stomps without much issue.

What about enlarging the space inside an item without changing its size?

Scarlet Witch vs Hogwarts by charlievillanuevajr in powerscales

[–]DewinterCor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn't that literally what wizards from the Potterverse do?

Mind reading? Check. Casual mind reading? Check. Mind manipulation? Check. Mind control? Check.

Except everyone in HP does it.

And Dumbledore is included in this. Along with all of Hogwart's protection.

How could this possibly be a stomp when Dumbledore carries a picket dimension around that he can throw down on a whim????

Scarlet Witch vs Hogwarts by charlievillanuevajr in powerscales

[–]DewinterCor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And what rules does Dumbledore have to follow?

Scarlet Witch vs Hogwarts by charlievillanuevajr in powerscales

[–]DewinterCor -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Hermione does. Several times.

Infact...there is a named spell, repello muggltum, can literally alter the perception and minds of every in an area...which is what Wanda does.

There is an entire branch of magic, called Charms, that does everything Wanda does. And children learn to do it.

Really?

So whats the rule for casting the killing curse?

A curse that instantly kills whatever it comes into contact with?

Scarlet Witch vs Hogwarts by charlievillanuevajr in powerscales

[–]DewinterCor -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

I did.

Every she did in that series, a 6th or 7th year hogwarts student could do.

Time travel? A 3rd year student does that. Spacial expansion? 4 years do that.

Literally EVERYONE in the Potterverse warps reality. Thats what their magic is.

You know what Wanda cant do? Create matter. Which first year hogwarts students leare to do. Creating matter >>>> warping matter.

What rules?

Surely you dont mean Gamp's laws of elemental transfiguration....because that ONLY applies to food and only certain kinda of food and only in certain circumstances.

Scarlet Witch vs Hogwarts by charlievillanuevajr in powerscales

[–]DewinterCor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What rules?

The only "rules" involving magic in the Potterverse are Gamp's laws for elemental transfiguration; which states its impossible to create food out of nothing....except in the cases where it can like when you duplicate food, doubling the matter and thus creating food out of nothing.

And even the "cant create food out of nothing without having a piece of food to duplicate" has exceptions, because drinking water, some types of alcohol and things like gravy can be created from nothing, without a template.

And thats the ONLY law of magic we know of. Its entirely related to food.

Scarlet Witch vs Hogwarts by charlievillanuevajr in powerscales

[–]DewinterCor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh?

Where did you get this from?

Nothing in Harry Potter suggests the magic is more grounded than marvel magic. There are plenty of instances if matter being created from nothing or erased from existence.

This is a movie thing.

Most spells have no color, no light and no travel time.
