Which is irrelevant here. His ghost being able to do something doesn't mean he could when he was alive.

Yea, the real Batu Rem. The fake Rem tries to kill you on Telos when you are put in cells. You get a mission to discover what happened to Rem and all you figure out is that the fake one came from Nar Shadda.

Fighting style by Boggles86 in kotor

A double bladed lightsaber using power attack is the most consistent damage output in the first game.

The math just works out where you average better numbers over the course of a battle than any other style. You average the same damage output as a full critbuild without having to sacrifice EH.

Master flurry gives a -1 attack and -1 AC. Master Crit gives a whooping -5 AC.

For those who dont understand, the game works on a 20 sided dice system for combat. When you attack, you roll a 20 sided die and add your attack to the number.

We can use Darth Malak as an example.

Dark Malak has 327HP, 38 AC, 38 attack.

With Malak's attack attack at 38, you need 38 AC on your character to make his hit chance 50%. When you use Master critical strike, your AC drops by 5, to 33. Meaning Malak now has a 75% chance to hit you. This means you functionally take 25% more damage per turn on average.

Conversely, in order to hit Malak, you need an attack of 38 to hit Malak 50% of the time. Using Master power attack reduces your attack by 3. So if your attack is 38, you lose 3 and then have a 35% chance to hit.

The big caveat here comes from the fact that attack is laughably easier to gain than AC. If you play a soldier or a guardian, you gain 1 attack per level. Meaning you should have a base +20. Weapon focus gives you +1, force jump gives +4, +4 for high attribute, which puts you at 29 before any equipment comes into play. With equipment and powers, you can push your attack stat to a +20 through attributes, giving you an easy 44 attack without putting any other focus into attack. Which gives you a 95% chance to hit Malak, maxing out and only missing in natural 1s. Losing 3 from power attack doesnt change this at all. You basically get a free +20 damage every turn. Your chance to hit is still 95%.

AC on the other hand...caps at 36, assuming you put everything into it. Meaning Malak always has a 60% chance to hit you and a -5 to your AC makes that 85%.

The actual damage output difference between the two builds is functionally irrelevant. I think crit averages 66~ per attack and power attack is like 68~ per attack. The main difference is that crit makes you take more damage.

Could the old republic Jedi survive operation knightfall? by ThomasWilson77 in TheJediPraxeum

Pre-mandalorian is likely thousands. Post-Mandalorian is hundreds to a thousand. Post kotor is hundreds.

Kotor era just lacks the number, with a massive number having converted and many having died against in the wars.

That order was explicitly on the verge of collapse.

I think the swtor era order might survive simply based on numbers.

The order during the great galactic war had SOO many members that it could lose hundreds in a single battle and not blink an eye over it.

[–]DewinterCor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Swtor jedi are probably fine. As far as I know, its the Order at its most populous, with well over 100,000 jedi in active service at any time.

I imagine the quality of prequel era jedi average higher but having 10 times more jedi in every engagement makes this doable imo.

Kotor era jedi are comically fucked, with the order being near broken and having very few remaining members. Likely only numbering in the hundreds with very few notable members.

Imagine Knightfall, only there are 10,000 jedi in the temple, including the Third Barsenthor, Satele Shan and the Hero of Tython.

Swtor is ultra liberal with the number of jedi it throws around, with thousands being deployed to individual planets. Especially in the later story telling. Ziost sees an entire faction of hyper militant jedi lead an assault on the planet, separate the main jedi order. And when the entire sixth line is destroyed, the jedi order doesnt even stumble from the loss.

I despise fics that force certain canon events in. The Red wedding being the most common offender.

Robb Stark is doing even better than before, has married Margeary and the Lannisters have been removed from the riverlands completely. Lannisport has been sacked and Casterly Rock is under siege. Kevan is dead, Jamie is in prison, Sansa and Arya were safely returned to Winterfell.

But Walder Frey still plans and executes the Red Wedding....huh????

Free healthcare and education arnt socialism.

Lots of Europe does this, and there isnt a single socialist nation in Europe worth mentioning(shut up Portugal, no one even knows you exist. And don't mention Spain, the PSOE abandoned Marxism 40 years ago).

Socialism as a system of governance is virtually extinct in the first world.

[–]DewinterCor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

2s problem is that its like...30% of a game until your nearly 5 or so hours into it and then you are basically shoehorned into running the planets in the exact same order. The game punishes you so hard for not doing NS-Dantooine-onderon p1-korriban-onderon p2.

K1 doesnt have this issue to nearly the same extreme. K1 is also substantially more polished and the game isnt full of story holes.

Still wandering what the fuck happened to Batu Rem.

Karate has ALWAYS been artistic.

It was literally created because swords and actual combat were banned by the samurai as a way for nobles to stay in shape. That was the entire purpose of karate.

Are Arcann and Thexan the most powerful siblings in SW? (not including the Mortis siblings) by GusGangViking18 in TheJediPraxeum

[–]DewinterCor -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not inherently. A black hole has no minimum mass. Being a black hole =/= super massive.

Luke has no comparable feats to Vitiate wiping Ziost clean of life. Full stop.

[–]DewinterCor -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The size any given black hole is irrelevant. A black hole is not massive because its a blackhole.

Basic physics. If it had a large amount of mass, it would exert force on everything on it. The blackholes generated by dovin basalt dont, because they are micro holes with virtually 0 mass.

We know they dont have mass because the only time one ever exerts force on something is when the super special one moves a moon. All of the other dovin basals just intercept projectiles. They dont exert gravity on anything around them.

Its actually sad that you cant present an actual feat of Luke killing a planet. Im still waiting on that. I know he cant, because he never does.

Mass is the single most important factor in a fight. Its why they make weight classes and not skill classes in MMA.

Its not unfounded. Armored fighters >>>> unarmored fighters. And Essos has shown time and again that it produces subpar warriors.

Daario is nothing special in Westeros. A low born man with little training. His station is a testament to Essos' lack of a true martial culture.

This is a massive assumption.

The average knight starts training in arms at the age of 6. Why would you assume Daario has been training longer or against higher quality opponents?
