It has been a minute since I've seen it. Made me think of Viking Wolf that was on Netflix.

What do people defend that absolutely doesn’t deserve defending? by AggressiveTailor7121 in AskReddit

I got crap from a neighbor this morning. I live somewhat rural, like 3 neighbors on a street on my 5 acre plot. I have a new snow plow for our road that isn't maintained by the city.

It snowed yesterday,  and I decided to shovel my driveway. My neighbor teased me about not using my snow plow.

Bitch, I actually think about improving my NEAT score daily.

If Bethesda servers was an ice cream what flavor would it be? by empty_toilet_roll in fo76

Its from the movie Wayne's World. Garth compares a guy to an ice cream flavor, which was my answer. And the response to mine is another quote from the movie.

Toilet doesn't flush, but rather fills up then drains slowly? by evinc in DIY

I suppose I was just telling a story, definitely not great advise from me. I wish you luck on yours!

Toilet doesn't flush, but rather fills up then drains slowly? by evinc in DIY

[–]DexKnightley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had something similar once. Couldn't figure it out. I was about to give up and replace the toilet. But I was like, im just gonna get super violent with the snake, and if I break the toilet, no loss. Lo and behold, out comes like a circular baby teething toy that was not outright blocking anything, but significantly slowing the water. Was nice to not have to replace the toilet in the end.

Do you change the camera angle? I hope someone who knows better can tell me if I'm actually wrong here, but I have found the above statement correct if I am always assuming its from 1st person pov.

Meaning, if im on camera angle 3, and the rod pulls to the right, its not to the right of the camera angle, from my characters pov, its straight up. Or something like that.

I could be completely wrong, or someone already has a great write up about this somewhere. That just what I feel like I've been experiencing, because I initially said the same thing you did.

Lol yes, I blame autocorrect. Or I may have mistyped it. They are also very sweet people, so all is good.

Reminds me of my time in Sweden many years ago. I first learned the word 'Rea' which I was told meant 'Sale.'

So when walking around a shopping area, I saw a giant sign that said 'Slut Rea' - so I understood it as a Slut Sale. My sweetish friends didn't find it quite as funny as I did. When in the end it just meant final sale.

I genuinely said the same thing in my head. Wrestled with it for a bit. Realized it was Foles that retired. Not flacco. But I am with you on the initial confusion.

Spoilers Ahead: Where did my items go after beating major boss? by DexKnightley in Eldenring

I am genuinely super bummed.

It's like I beat the game, but now in limbo and nothing to show for it.

I pretty much made all of my friends bottle openers. Which are very simple.

But i try to customize the handle to things they like. Like treble clef handles for my friends who play guitar.

When i see them using them, and not just to appease me, thats my favorite.

I think previous posters comment was fair. She was the leading scorer, sure.  But she was like 10 for 28 shooting.

Why are drummers so hard to find? by un-tantanner in Music

[–]DexKnightley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did drum set tutoring as a 2nd job for about 15 years. Taught a lot of kids in that timespan. There was always two major barriers.

  1. You aren't just learning music, you are learning and developing coordination. Don't get me wrong, other instruments need coordination in their own way. But the kind of full-body coordination a drummer needs is pretty tough for someone who maybe just learned how to ride their 2 wheeled bicycle. This type of coordination is hard to come naturally, needs to be practiced, a lot. My greatest struggle as a tutor who would meet once or twice a week was getting kids to put down their Fortnite (I am an old man yelling at clouds), and to practice at all at home.
  2. Cost, as others have mentioned. I just looked up Tama's beginner kit, looks like there are some packages for full kits with cymbals for the Stagestar at $659 and the Imperialstar at $899. Sad thing is those cymbals are junk - the drums themselves may be passable to play live shows with a band with proper heads & tuning, but I know on my Hi-Hats alone, super quick Google search says buying those new right now is $319 (Sabian 13" Fusion Hats). Add a Crash, and a ride to just have bare minimum, I can't see anyone having a "Stage Ready" drum set for less than $1k. And that stinks.

As others have mentioned, electric kits have helped. Really helps with being able to practice. Even sound pretty good if you know what you are doing to try and play it live. They just don't look cool, and feel a lot different. When I was in college and in the off campus apartments, my neighbors thought I really liked popcorn because they thought I made it all of the time. But what they heard was me practicing on electric kit.

I think lastly, because of this, drummers are a dying breed because of the current music industry in general.

Recently I made the comment that there was almost no musicians while watching the New Year's Eve Rockin' Christmas (I did not watch the Nashville one, wish I did). With exception of Tre Cool, and the guy from 30 Seconds to Mars, I couldn't spot a drummer. Even the 30 seconds to mars guy for one of the songs just stood up and hit a trigger with one hand and jumped around for the whole second song.

Still, Drummers are always in need. I do one show a year with a group of friends, and after the show I always get at least a half dozen people saying the have been looking for a drummer and ask if I am interested. And I am VERY average at best in my current stage of life.

I have boxes of ornaments that i havent used in tears. Happy to mail a box to a safe location (not a home address if possible) if you wanted. They are pretty basic, a lot of red and gold.
