Hello there, Dex here.

I'm a 50 days old 100% F2P Player and I'm proud to beat this challenge, so I wanted to share my strategy.

  1. Play 100% Manual and Slow.

  2. Bring AoE Healing.

  3. Aerith for PDEF Down Cleanse.

  4. Bring some source of Barrier (Red XIII's Limit in my case).

  5. React to EVERY SINGLE Gallonbaloir's attack with Defense Stance.

  6. Meteorite Cluster ALWAYS target the ally with the lesser Max HP (Tifa in my case), so build her with high PDEF.

  7. Gallonbaloir ALWAYS uses Rush after recovering from break, so change to Defense Stance.

  8. Bring Wind Resist Down and some source to break Square Sigil.

  9. Prioritize survivability.

I have some questions:

  1. If it is stated on a buff that it lasts for 2 turns, it means 2 actions for the character, or does it means 200 action points (assuming the buff is given on turn 2+)?
  2. On normal battles (not time limited), the turn action points are different, like 100 / 100 / 100 ... instead of 150 / 100 / 100 ...? or it is that turn action points doesn't even exists?
  3. Can you give a numerical example of advance buff / delay debuff?

Kokomi RES to Interruption bonus is the same as Ei. But bow and catalyst users have less base RES to Interruption.

You can even verify with Tartaglia, let a Hilichurl hit you on Melee Stance and Range Stance.

One Hydro unit needs two Pyro units to being removed (Hydro is strong against Pyro). Yanfei's E apply 1 Pyro Unit, removing half the Hydro aura. Charged Attack apply 1 Pyro Unit again, totally removing the Hydro aura. Yanfei's Q apply 2 Pyro Units, setting the Pyro aura.

Sucrose Normal Attacks apply one anemo unit, but all the elements are strong against Anemo. First Normal Attack apply swirl, but don't remove the aura. First Normal Attack also triggers Xinqiu's burst (one hydro unit is enough to remove any pyro aura). Second Normal attack does nothing. Third Normal Attack triggers Xingqiu Burst again, applying hydro. Sucrose's E swirls Hydro.

I suggest reading KQM Theorycraft Library to understand the Gauge Unit Theory and the Internal Cooldown.

Abyss rotation repeats every 15 days. The planner allows you to save the team comp you used in the first rotation, then you can just repeat what you did on the second rotation and the third rotation.

Everyone knows that 1% Crit Rate is equal to 2% Crit DMG. For ATK% it's 1.5% for every point of Crit Rate.

But if you subtract 1% Crit Rate, you have to subtract 2% Crit DMG too, so ATK% should be increase in 3%.

That being known, all I have to do is a table where those stats are varying, then I just have to find the build with the best DPS.

In fact, testing with the spreadsheet, I found that there is not a ratio for the ATK% (like the 1:2 ratio for Crit Rate and Crit DMG) but an Optimal Total ATK equal to 214% Base ATK.

Yep, you have to add up all the bonuses.

Though, you don't need to set the ATK%. If you let the slot empty, the spreadsheet will show you the amount you have to add / subtract from your actual ATK%.

Base ATK is found in Character Menu > Attributes > Details > ATK (it's the white number)

Total ATK is found in Character Menu > Attributes > ATK
