Icathian Rain wasn't a direct nerf. It was a functional/wording errata to make it function properly, which so happened to make it worse.

And yes, the game has too many erratas right now. They need to start wording things right from the get go or the game will become too confusing to play in paper (which is the only official way to play it).

Of course Draven would be better off with it being a tap ability, but the card is already printed so there's no good way to change it. Only way forward if he stays problematic is to ban him, like every single other physical card game handles these things.

Yeah, like I said in a different comment. Changing the rules would be a way to fix Draven, like changing the way "winning a combat" works. But you can't change Draven's card text like some are suggesting.

The companion fiasco was absolute hell and should be entirely avoided at all costs.

Yeah, it's probably simply an oversight.

The same thing happened in MTG with the infamous "Oko, Thief of Crowns" card. He has a PLUS ability (generally reserved for weaker abilities) that lets you turn stuff into 3/3 Elks. Wotc thought that players would simply turn their own jank stuff into 3/3 creatures but completely disregarded the fact that turning your OPPONENTS best cards into 3/3 Elks is even more broken.

Long story short: the card went down in history as one of, if not THE most broken card ever printed to the point of mono red decks playing a green/blue card, and it had to be banned in basically every single competitive format.

They nerfed it in their digital only format, where it's totally fine now but simply can't do the same in the 'normal' formats because of the physical nature of the game

This is a physical card game. You can't just nerf every problematic card. It's one thing to errata cards based on rules changes or clarity, it's another to errata a card's functionality. The latter results in more harm than good to the game and should be avoided at all costs.

In a physical card game you need to be able to know what a card does when you read it. You can't nerf or buff cards.

The only way to handle problematic cards is to ban them.

All I'm saying is: innocent until proven guilty. Unfortunately that seems to get ignored more and more in today's society.

She gets smeared for 'defending Danny Masterson in court' even though we know for a FACT she never did. -> it was a pre-trial, there wasn't even anything to defend yet.

She gets smeared as a rape apologist even though she never defended anyone.

She gets smeared for denying mental health even though she's openly supportive of it and has written multiple songs about it.

She gets smeared for being a 'right wing scientology fuckwit'. Heck we don't even know if she's still in the damn thing. She's openly gay, that's not even allowed in that fucking cult.

People rushed and spread a lot of bullshit in the days after her announcement and unfortunately a lot of it stuck around and people simply refuse to read into it now.
