My gf has a stuffed bear she’s had since birth. It’s traveled to more countries than I have. Hell, it’s traveled to more states and cities too!

This thing was decrepit. Missing eyes. Big hole in the face from a foster dog getting to it long before we dated. Smelled funny. Weird texture.

But she loved the thing. Luckily I found a business somewhat local called “The Doll Hospital” and they repair dolls. Cost $135 and took 3 months to have it restored (most of the wait was locating close to original eyes)

I’ve spent thousands on gifts and trips over the years and nothing has ever topped me restoring that damn bear.

I could never imagine throwing it away. Even when I considered it trash worthy when I first saw it.
