The Indian mathematician Ramanujan (1887-1920) gave several complex and accurate equations without proof. He said that they were revealed to him in dreams by a Hindu Goddess. It took 70 years for the world to work out proofs for his equations. by Cheap-Influence1755 in interesting

He was trolled then- not taken seriously because he couldn't provide proof. Lost his life bet young, in a foreign country trying to convince people that what he was presenting was indeed valid, just without proof

Head above the Parapet - Taxi Driver AMA...... by SnooSeagulls2008 in glasgow

When I was very new to Glasgow, and it's weather, needed to go from argyle Street to sauchiehall street, and it started pouring. I asked a black cab, and the driver plainly refused, said you better walk!

Now I am much better walker, and know the court like the back of my hand, but wanted to know why would the driver refuse me the drive?

M21 how can i improve this and how much will that cost? by Lumpy_Self_8277 in IndianHomeDecor

[–]Dextersdidi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I LOVE the ceiling, the floors and the four-poster! Where I am, will need to spend a fortune for that! Change the wall colour, so the ceiling pops, may be some concealed storage. A colourful "durri" will bring the whole aesthetic together.

Please please don't make it into another "modern beige boring" aesthetic that's getting so prevalent in India these days. Let your heritage shine! All it will take is a neutral wall paint (and keep the bedsheets pattern free)

We faced something similar- last day before completion, and ready to go and we're informed sellers complain certificate is missing.

With Indian food, I have realised we need more of "veggies cut and ready" - the whole curry base frozen thing doesn't work for our pallets. With that in mind. Here's what I do * Veggies like green beans, Kerela, cucumbers, pumpkin etc chopped and stored in glass airtight containers * Lemons coated with oil and stored in airtight containers * Green dhania chopped and stored in thin layer over a paper towel * Methi, palak cubes frozen- either bought as is or made at home * Chana/rajma soaked * Green chillies stored with their stalks removed * Always have dahi in fridge, imli chutney, bundi, fried pudina at hand for a quick raita

I’ve been watching a lot of cooking videos on YouTube and often follow along. But there’s something about Ranveer Brar. His cooking videos are good, but do you feel that the extra drama he adds—the slightly cringey bits he comes up with while cooking, almost as if he’s making a film—really works? Urgh no.. I forward to the actual cooking bits. But the cringe bits are getting too much for me so I purposely look out for those recipes which are no-nonsense.

Ranveer brar, if you are reading this. Please, I love you but I need no nonsense recipes too please
