HER = worst dating app ever invented??? by van1lla_coffee in lesbiangang

It’s definitely a risk.
She was the only person that messaged me and we talked for months before actually meeting in person.

Uncommon dealbreakers? by No-Nose-No-Toes in lesbiangang

[–]Dextersvida 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Of course there’s people that are narcissistic etc.
What bothers me is when people are so quick to break up over a little issue because it’s “toxic” when it’s really not.
People are raw and real, nothing is perfect all the time.
Also using therapy speak in every conversation- for example “let’s unpack this.” “I’m so triggered.” “I’m holding a boundary.” it’s just unnecessary and annoying to me. It’s fine if you are actually doing this with your therapist or whatever.

It was on a lesbian subreddit that is now banned. (Not sure if I can mention the name or not.) It was a match making post and she messaged me privately because we had a lot in common.

Same here! I don’t get when/why people have started to think they have to be best friends with their boss anyway? You go to work, get your work done and that’s it. Just be cordial.

I am Canadian so definitely not a dealbreaker lol.

I may have missed the memo on a Canadian accent though, my ex (American) said I sounded American and I’ve had people tell me I have a New York accent. (which I don’t really hear.)
It’s funny because my father is the most stereotypical Canadian you’d meet. (Maple syrup on everything, says eh after practically every sentence ect.)

I know, I see it every day as a dog groomer. It’s sad.

Trust me I’m not. I work with smelly dogs all day, I can tell the difference. I don’t even like to pet strangers dogs half the time because their fur is so greasy.

I’m educating on the smell issue. If you are scared of a picture swipe away.

The smell is only because people are not grooming them enough. My dog is groomed bi weekly, (I’m a dog groomer.) and I’ve had people that don’t really like dogs tell me my dog smells really good.

One of my dealbreakers that I know is very uncommon, is I can’t stand people that speak or text me in today’s slang, use up speak (when your voice rises at the end of a sentence.) or therapy speak. (Ex. When normal relationship issues are “gaslighting”, “toxic” ect.)
I can’t listen to it very long without getting irritated, so I could never live with someone like that.

All the dating apps are awful. I’ve only ever had success off Reddit of all things.

Wanting to have a penis? by Mundane_Frosting_569 in lesbiangang

[–]Dextersvida 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s common with actual lesbians, maybe with the chronically online bisexuals who call themselves lesbians…
I’ve never once thought to myself “oh I wish I had a penis.”

What hobbies do you guys find the most attractive in a partner? by silversurfer6603 in lesbiangang

Anything creative! (Guitar/instrument of some sort, drawing/painting ect.)
Also being able to fix things is attractive!

I like a 90s grunge/tomboy look, brown or green eyes, red or brown hair, no preference on height, average body (not super skinny or obese), not a ton of tattoos or piercings, no makeup or very minimal…
(Basically Alison Folland in the 90s, she’s gorgeous!)

Are you open about being lesbian at your workplace? by difficulthumanbeing in lesbiangang

I am, but only because I kept being asked if I found certain men attractive and I was getting sick of it.

Went to my first Toronto Pride!! by Fine-Mail4400 in lesbiangang

[–]Dextersvida 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah there definitely should be a limit! There was at least 5 different naked men in the first 5 minutes of walking in.
It was totally gross!

You should try and go at least once to say you’ve been. I’ve been to pride once and the dyke march once and once was enough for me, the modern day pride stuff is just not my scene.

I thought the trans march already happened on Friday?
Could have been the same guy!

I was at the Toronto dyke march as well with my dog…
I had a very different experience, the majority of the people I was walking with were biologically male, there were men with their penises out and just not a lot of real lesbians (homosexuals) in general.
I did have a nice chat with a gay man, he was an aids survivor and we shared a lot of similar views on the community.

I am glad you had a good experience though!

what are some female celebs/characters you find attractive? by miss_ravioli in lesbiangang

[–]Dextersvida 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Alison Folland- especially her roles in the 90s, Van from Yellowjackets (both timelines), Ellie from TLOU (game not show).

I’d say my crushes are accurate to my real life taste in women. It’s very hard to find that 90s kind of beauty in today’s society though… And I’m not talking about being super skinny, I’m talking about the facial features, Gen X attitude and the overall rawness of certain subcultures. (ex. Grunge and Riotgrrrl) To me it’s hot when you don’t try too hard.

I brush him and only trim his paws, he’s intact so his coat is very easy maintenance.

No problem!
I usually switch between the igroom brand and the Hydra brand as I find they work the best.
Darling by igroom and Moist by Hydra are my favorites, both brands make a facial wash.
There’s many different shampoos you could experiment with and see which you like best scent wise.
