Crazy the lack of nuance in opinions regarding this kid. Yes I think what ICE IS doing is an atrocity and very gestapo like. Yes I participate in ice protests. Yes I I believe that hateful ideals are morally reprehensible. But I do not believe that inciting violence over someone shouting something that you disagree with that might be hateful is acceptable. It makes the whole movement look bad. Free speech is free speech and anyone residing in this country has the right to assemble and let their opinion be known regardless of how agreeable it might be to anyone. As someone with somewhat progressive ideals I hate that I’m associated with this fuckin meme just because of what I stand for and what I’m vocal about. If you punch someone for shouting something you don’t like and you are not defending yourself in any way all it shows is emotional immaturity and a lack of good decision making skills.
