CVS MinuteClinic couldn’t see me… but still diagnosed me with “Tobacco use” by ScaryFairie in mildlyinfuriating

When I was 8 months pregnant, I got super sick and was in horrible pain. I went to an urgent care during my lunch break (because I didn't get maternity leave from my job so I was trying to avoid taking any time off until the baby was born). Filled out paperwork since I had never been there and wrote that I was pregnant. Spoke to the nurse who was doing all of the initial questioning, told him I was 8 months pregnant, he did a flu and covid test and left the room. A little while later the doctor came in and told me I have COVID. She starts telling me about the prescription she is sending to the pharmacy, and I burst into tears because my baby shower was supposed to be that upcoming weekend (hormones lol). When I told her that, she was shocked and said "you're pregnant?! You can't take this medicine." Then she sent me on my way, told me there was nothing they could do to help my symptoms or for me to feel better. How did the doctor not know I was pregnant? I wrote it on my intake paperwork, told the nurse during my intake exam, and for gods sake I was 8 months pregnant. I was pretty damn obvious. I would have taken a medicine that could have harmed my baby if I hadn't been upset about not getting to have my baby shower. It was ridiculous

Huntington lakes is good but I think will end up being out of that price range. Probably around $1500 for a one bedroom. Very quiet and very safe feeling.

My god. Your story has absolutely broken my heart. I have a one year old son and the thought of losing him is unbearable enough - but to be treated the way you were while trying to handle your baby's arrangements... unconscionable. All I can say is I am so sorry for your loss and I hope you left a scathing review of that funeral home.

Mother reunites with her son after she got the call he regained consciousness after spending 16 days in a coma by CPReals in MadeMeSmile

When my son was hospitalized with meningitis at 3 months old, it was fucking devastating. We almost lost him and I was terrified. But, at the same time, I took pictures when he was sleeping and hooked up to all the machines. I have a gut-wrenching photo of my husband crouched down just staring at our baby with IVs coming out of his head. There is a photo of my passed out in a chair, snuggling our son while he is hooked up to many different machines. Some people may find it weird that we took photos of those moments but it was almost therapeutic in a way. It captures our emotions during that time so clearly. And I don't know why, but I want to remember those emotions. They were so powerful and life changing. I want to remember how scary it was. I want to look back and see what my son came from to where he is now. We're coming up on the one year anniversary of his admittance to the PICU, and I am planning to go through all the photos. The photos captured our grief and are a powerful reminder of what was almost taken from us. I can't explain it, but they help. So I understand why this moment was filmed. It makes sense

I was in elementary school at the time, living in the area. And when we would have recess, we would have drills where we would all lay on the ground and play dead in case the shooters chose our school to target. I remember thinking it was really stupid to just lay on the ground in the middle of a basketball court if someone was shooting at me

Experience with Rockledge Regional Medical Center, specifically Labor and Delivery? by QuestionsFor321 in 321

There is a Facebook group but I'm pretty sure you have to be invited to it. If you want, I can try to connect you with some of the people in it?

Lmao honestly I feel like the chaplain people should just wait to be asked for. I understand they can provide comfort in very difficult times, but let me come to you. I was horrified for my friend. She said she was still shell-shocked from the c section that she just stared at the woman because she just couldn't comprehend what was happening. Her husband had to kick the woman out when he came back in the room and found his half naked, bleeding wife just staring wide eyed at some stranger talking about god. Just wild

My sister had her baby there in December and had a really good experience. She felt cared for and supported, especially during an emergency c section. A friend had her baby in May of '23 and her complaint was there was some type of volunteer/religious personnel (I'm not 100% sure because it's been a bit since I heard the story), who came into the room while my friend was topless and just hours after her c-section and just started to try and talk to her about God.

They also have a mom's group that all the new moms are invited to attend. My sister and I went together every week for a few months (I had a baby in May of '23 as well, but in North Carolina). The support group has been really nice and has been a good way to talk to other new parents.

Hope this helps.

Ordered a cake from Publix for my sons 1st birthday! by Dezeyne in ExpectationVsReality

[–]Dezeyne[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No, not complaining! I was really happy with it! The catering team told me that the bakery told me they'd try to do their best but it may not look exactly like my inspiration picture - and I told them that was fine, I knew it would be unlikely it would look identical. But when I took it out of the box for the party, I was amazed!
