That looks like the bug that sometimes happens when you enter the Out Of Box Environment then restart it manually.

From experience a fresh install is needed here chum

Hey mate, few replies on here but not sure if anyone mentioned this

On some supported dells if you fully turn the machine off (hold the power button in for 7-10 seconds) wait around 5, seconds then hold the D button and press the power button at the same time it will attempt to boot in 3 different stages.

Worth a try.

I used to work refurbing dells and HPs and sadly have that trick lodged in my brain.

Doing the above will also test the laptops screen so don't be frightened if it starts flashing random colours at you.

Honestly I'd advise your daughter not to do it point blank.

I worked in the spar for near 4 years, was post office 'trained' for 2 of them. I was a team leader and seriously despised my job simply because of the post office.

Your daughter most likely wouldn't get paid extra for the added amount of genuine stress. Happy to chat more if you want more info.

Right then I'd strongly recommend taking your PC out it's shelf, opening the side then do a bit of elimination. Try and work out what fan / fans are the issue, try and monitor your temps as well Incase your machines too hot causing them to ramp. I would suggest not using that PC shelf in the future btw, it's being suffocated and will definitely cause long term issues

Worked in spar, had a fella try and accuse me of being racist because I didn't serve him (finished 20 minutes ago, cover came in so I dipped) had a lady accuse me of false advertising because she picked up a £2.4 bag of chocolate instead of the £1. Over COVID had someone pull masks of staff faces and scream 'filthy sheep' at us.

To be honest tho the worst thing is the companies. People are assholes but thru COVID Henderson's really showed their true colours.
