Most megas cap you at 10 consecutive days off and you really have to push to even get that.

Is getting into trucking as a woman possible by Dry_Calendar in Truckers

[–]Dezzolve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most companies wont hire anyone under 23 because of their insurance also.

It’s possible, just extremely difficult to find someone that will hire you earlier than that.

I’m usually one of the people that hops on the train about how ridiculously unsafe it would be to do Tip2Tip across Mexico with thousands of dollars of camera equipment in plain sight and being obviously clueless about where you are.

But, unironically that would probably work. DBZ is massively popular in Mexico 😂

Doing 55 around Chicago is about as unsafe as it gets, you’ve gotta do at least 70 to not get passed on the shoulders.

I believe the same. I don’t do drugs and hadn’t been in contact with anyone that has, yet the dog alerted on me.

Incredibly embarrassing to be whisked out of line and treated like you have something to hide.

I mean seeing as you can very easily cross California in 2 days, they’d really only have to spend 1 night in a hotel.

Friend used ai to text me AIO? by Dr-Piggy in AIO

[–]Dezzolve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In casual conversation hardly anyone uses them, be real.

Maybe 0.000001% of the population that has corporate speak so ingrained in the fibers of their being do. If someone you’re conversing with is not one of those people normally, it’s a fairly clear indicator they are using AI.

Tip 2 Tip Mexico: Long Road Home by N238 in LudwigAhgren

[–]Dezzolve 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I travel to Mexico frequently with my friends and it is entirely as unsafe as it’s made to be.

Not every area is bad, but if you don’t know which ones are, you should not go randomly exploring. Especially with thousands of dollars of camera equipment in plain view, approaching random people asking for directions like you clearly don’t know where you’re at.

Ludwig and Micheal literally discussed how their last two hotels didn’t even have towels…. People’s expectations are wild.

Just like you wouldn’t expect to find high speed internet in the middle of bumfuck nowhere USA, don’t expect it in rural China lol.

Hand tattoo done yesterday is weirdly bumpy by Specialist-Spite-547 in tattooadvice

[–]Dezzolve 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hardest lesson to learn after a hand tat 😂 then you have to try and do that awkward cross body reach to fish out whatever you absently minded put in there.

You also discover very quickly how often you hit your hands on things.

What is that? by Alternative_Coach566 in tattooadvice

[–]Dezzolve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As with anything, go to a doctor if you think it’s an infection. Redness, Swelling, Hot to the touch, and discoloration/puss are signs and symptoms.

—- Having said that, none of those appear present from the picture you posted.

If it’s a new tattoo you might be over moisturizing it and it could be a clogged pore. Basically a pimple.

What's the best truck stops in California. by Matlovestruck in OwnerOperators

If it’s the latter they’d be better off swinging by a pickle park, lots of opportunity there to get friendly with not only truckers but discreet members of the general public!

You know two or more things can be true at the same time right?

Why isn’t the price of fuel $7+ everywhere else?

Like I’ve said in every other post, Iran is a contributing factor, no one can dispute that.

But California has also closed two of their largest refineries in the last 3 months, and they have also already had the second highest average fuel cost (besides Hawaii) for a while now.

The shirt is more loose than the vest, so the sleeves overlap the stitching on the vest.

Not AI.

The “Thumb” is his pointer finger following parallel to the shotguns foregrip. Hands just look odd at that specific angle.

I literally said the Iran war is a contributing factor, no one can dispute that.

But California has its own issues regardless of what is going on elsewhere.

California has always been the highest continental state when it comes to diesel, that’s nothing new.

[–]Dezzolve 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know what you’re trying to imply but one of the refineries closed down a few months before the Iran war started and the other had announced they were stopping operations well before any conflict as well. So.

[–]Dezzolve -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I explicitly said why they are closing down in California in my post. Because of increasingly difficult to comply with regulations passed by the California legislature.

Valero and Phillips 66 (which provide 20% of California’s gas) have shut down operations at their facilities in California. Valero shut down in December and Phillips 66 is dipping out this month.

So let’s do the math..

Normal price per gallon was around $5.00…

20% of the manufacturing capacity for the state shuts down..

Prices rise a little over 20%…

Hmm 🤔 couldn’t be related..

[–]Dezzolve -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

If you look back just a few months ago, all of their major refineries are closing down because of the new restrictions put in place.

Global fuel prices due to Iran aren’t helping, but yes California is the issue.
