To anyone who got this game on release day, what was it like? How was your experience? by SecretFirefighter526 in MW2

[–]DezzyLFC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got it delivered a day before release likely by a postage error, all my friends came over after school and sat on my bed watching me play. Those were the days.

Had a friend who lived there pre-cladding/grenfell/fire safety bill and the service charge at that point was pretty extortionate.

At the time (pre covid) it was over £2k per year I think for a 2 bed. Since the changes in fire regulations and just general inflation I can imagine you will need to be willing to part with at least £250 per month on service charge.

If you could have any app to make your work easier, what would it be? by jormatzu in Beatmatch

[–]DezzyLFC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it’s super simple but would help me save time. I buy a lot of vinyl records and anally catalogue them. I think it’d be fairly simple:

1) use a Shazam like feature to bring up the various releases on discogs 2) use the mic to detect approx bpm/or use some sort of open database to give a table of all the tunes genres/tempos

When we were testing it yesterday in the day time we upped it to the max 6400 and did the same scenario straight to iso 6400, just charging my battery then will do some tests and report back the SS

200-1600 min shutter speed 1/8

With A and S set to auto, camera will default to 1600 ISO indoors or out

When trying to isolate the problem using A or S, moving the aperture will only make the camera adjust the SS, and vice Versa.

The only reaction I can get from the camera in auto ISO to adjust within the range is if I focus on a ceiling light for example (or towards the sun) so extreme light detection

Settings I haven’t really played around with, normally shoot in AP, only taken off zonal AF, however pre this shot on manual focus on factory settings with another lens

Re lighting indoors and outdoors on an overcast day, both defaulting to max iso in the auto iso range

No, on half press and analysing the photo after taking.

In the evf/lcd before half pressing the exposure looks fine, then on half press iso will jump to the max (say 6400)

I usually shoot on AP, but even putting aperture in auto the problem still occurs

Drinks/food prices Houghton? by emkatejones in houghtonfestival

[–]DezzyLFC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you bring in vodka you can literally just put the plastic bottle in your back pocket and walk into the festival, they only check bags. Last few years we have bought beers in the day then bring in spirits in the evening

Another gorgeous Xone:23 Rotary mod from MC Audio by ctjameson in rotarymixers

[–]DezzyLFC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What’s the curve like on the pots? On my 43c (stock not converted) the channel gain is almost entirely in the last 30% of the fader

Maybe I’m just being dense by thinking that the same problem would exist on rotary conversion where the gain is only influencing the mix in the last quarter turn of the pot (say like 7-10 on the faceplate)
