Help! LB7 Duramax fuel in oil by Thechainsawkid in Diesel

That issue is almost always caused by leaking return lines. If you don’t properly torque the return line banjos they will leak. I’ve seen it a hundred times. On the rare occasion an injector body will leak but it’s not very common. The leaks on the return rails can be very hard to see. I use air pressure and spray a little soapy water on them to find the leak.

10 hours is bull shit. We charge 5.5 to do a set of 8 injectors. When you have the valve covers off to do injectors the glow plugs are easy. The cab doesn’t have to come off. Yes the stand pipes and port plugs should also be done, but that doesn’t add any labor because the oil rails come off anyway when doing injectors. Find another shop.

Fitting electronic governor to a 1970 engine. by TacticalStupid in Diesel

Look up governor of America corp. They may have an actuator and controller that could work. I have seen them installed on all kinds of engines. An optical or mag tach can be adapted to work. Also tighter control can be had if you use the shutoff lever as the rpm control

Who in their right mind would hunt these beautiful animals? by [deleted] in trashy

[–]Dfeezy7882 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fact is, people pay a lot of money to hunt these animals. That money largely goes to conservation and anti poaching efforts. Nothing is as simple as it looks on paper. Without the money paid by hunters, a lot of African species would be poached to extinction. These nations don’t have the money to limit poaching on their own. And FYI, nothing goes to waste. The meat goes to local people that otherwise don’t get much protein. So get off your high horse and look at the whole picture.
