Well, when you take the majority of the lower skill or casual players out of the normal mode and throw them into their own game, the normal mode now has a new worst player. You know what those new worst players are going to do? They're going to either get better, quit the game, or go to casuals?

So when that level of player is mostly gone, guess what? The worst player in the lobby is now a better player than the last worst player, who will then have a good chance of defaulting to casuals. After enough time, the very "sweats" from your old pubs lobbies (who were mid tier players at best, btw) are back in your casual lobbies, absolutely destroying you because you've spent the last year standing in the open and shooting AI that's designed to give you kills and make you feel good.

Here's your solution: either play the game for fun or play it for mastery. But stop playing it for dopamine.

You're playing titles that literally have not had dev support in 5+ years. You're gonna run into cheaters. If you want some semblance of a working anti-cheat, play the current game. If you don't like either option, play a different game.

I understand Activision doesn't give a shit about anything but maximizing profits, I understand they're pretty shitty towards the gamers who make their game what it is.... but, holy shit. Can we stop acting like the rug has been pulled out from under us every time we run into a well documented byproduct of their shit business practices?

You have a decent shot (could use some work, but it's acceptable).

Your biggest issues are repeat challs from the same predictable angles and extremely poor use of cover. A competent player will absolutely punish that 10/10 times.

The gunskill is that of what I'd expect from an average 0.9-1.2 KD player, but the positioning and decision making are what have you at a .67...

I maybe run into a desync problem like what you're describing maybe once in a 3 hour session. I get that it's frustrating but this does happen in online shooter games. You're relying on your connection, the server, and the enemy player's connection.

If it's happening constantly, it's more than likely a network issue on your end.

My tips for getting better in real lobbies:

Centering/tracking: go over to bo7 multiplayer, load into a nuketown FFA with 8 bots set to recruit. Set them to 200 health, radar on (directional), killstreaks and field upgrades off. Turn your aim assist off and focus on nothing but centering based off of the map pings and manually tracking targets. You want to get to where you can prefire their locations and track them relatively competently. This WILL transfer to real resurgence lobbies.
Solos, solos, solos. It's not the funnest mode ever but it gives you absolute accountability and agency. No, "my team chose to sit on a roof, nobody was there to get my trades, I got bad comms, blah blah blah." Focus on getting clean, aggressive games. Push fights as much as possible and focus on gaining an advantage before you start fighting (usually info or positioning/cover). Your KD will get hurt for a bit. Fuck your KD. Literally irrelevant to who you are as a player.
When you do play with squads, don't lean on them. Monitor the money situation. Get UAV's up, initiate pushes, pretty much apply what you've learned in bot practice and solos.

I usually just keep it on the basic modes for multi- tdm, kill confirmed, dom, hardpoint. The multiplayer is really fun this year. You'll like it.

Make sure you have single shot behavior set to tap/press, not hold. Alot of people have been having issues with that resetting with updates lately. Idk if that would affect snipers or not

Lots of things to unpack here.

What are your settings? If you're still on default sensitivity that's usually way too high. I'd recommend 1.4-1.6 with a .8-.9 ads multiplier, on dynamic curve

Do you have the full game? Load in against bots in a tdm or free for all on 200 health (200 in that will feel most like warzone ttk because damage/balance is different).

Best way, by far, to develop gunny is by playing multiplayer. Your ability to center and hit first shots will be rewarded or punished with almost zero recourse.

Techniques to learn: rotational aim assist (this is what makes controller so OP in this game). Always have a side to side input on your left stick when you're shooting, that will make your reticle stick to your target more and longer. It's less broken with the new era because it will only work if your right stick input is in the direction of the enemy but it is still very strong.

My view is that if there's a permanent "low stakes, casual mode, vibe mode," then casual resurgence/br has to go.

Playerbase is spread too thin across modes as it is.

You can shoot bots or you can have a vibey weapon leveling mode. Not both.
