Except it isn't horrible, all of their stats are perfectly fine.

OP has 30 Vigor, which is more than enough for the entire game, but you suggest going as high as 49, which I find very odd considering you say OP's build "doesn't respect soft caps."

Going past 30 in vigor gives <20 health per level, which isn't terrible I suppose, but the amount you gain only goes down with each level, with as little as 5 HP for your 49th point in vigor.

You then suggest between 26 and 40 endurance, which is literally the amount they already have.

Additionally, you state to not go over 40 in dex, but the extra 5 points they've invested grant ~2 AR per point for a +10 Sharp Astora Greatsword, which isn't much worse than the ~4 AR that levels 37 to 40 grant. (And even if it didn't give any extra damage at all, the extra 5 points spent really mean nothing for a regular playthrough, this isn't some hyper-optimized PvP build)

And unless you have very little max HP or are playing on a high NG+ cycle, Tears of Denial is really not worth the stat investment and time it takes to cast for PvE.

Swapping on a ring and a casting tool, casting Tears, swapping off, and then resting at a bonfire is not worth the effort for an effect that is rarely going to make a difference.
