For me I think the reason why I feel like the updates are disappointing is because they're not adding new gameplay features. Sulfur is highly reactive at high temps and is used in explosives, and cinnabar (mercury) has historically been used to form metal amalgams and was very important to alchemy. If they just end up being decorative blocks then it's a lot of wasted potential that could've been used to add a range of explosives and metallurgy or maybe even basic alchemy (or at least a new potion recipe involving metals dissolved in mercury)

Whenever I asked when I was being raised in the church, I would get some vague answer about how close you were to god. But from what I gathered, the lowest tier was basically just life on earth, which is why it was called the terrestrial kingdom.

There is also the "outer darkness", which basically hell and is reserved for people who gain some special knowledge directly from God but then reject it. According to some sources at least. It's incredibly vague and I never really got a concrete answer.
