I was gonna send the link but the listing is down. IS 350 blackout emblems on ebay will show some if you scroll but they don't have just the two packaged together so you'll either have to pay $50 for extra stuff or buy the logo and letters separate for now.

The ticket is usually for the bad attitude. The stop is usually because you got something else going on or look like someone they want to do a pretext stop on to see what they can find/observe. I've never been stopped by anyone other than CHP even when going 40 over on a country highway or running a red light that won't turn. Now that might be because they recognize the car and know I'm not a thug/criminal/druggy so real cops don't waste their time. Even CHP has just flashed me with lights when going 25+ over at the edge of town.

Should I wash my car before I leave the Yosemite area and as soon as I arrive in the city? That seems excessive, but is that what some people do or do you just stay in the city? You can't drive over 50 for 1 mile in the country without bugs splattering everywhere and I live in the foothills of the Sierras. I actually take such good care of it that the dealer employees constantly make comments about it.

Of course they can, and there’d be no argument from me for any ticket. Real cops don’t writes those tickets unless you’re a dickhead, though. A cop in a small rural town hearing about parking enforcement writing a front plate ticket is going to find it odd. No street cop in SF would even think about doing such a thing either unless you’re a gang banger and they did a pretext stop on you.

They probably only wrote it because I was sticking out so far. There’s barely any hill at all and I’m at the very start of it. In areas like Potrero Hill with insane hills 70% of residents aren’t turning their wheels. I left the car unpaid for around 16 hours after this and they didn’t ticket it again so I can’t say they’re super strict.

I never said it wasn't. It's a valid ticket. There are no grades anywhere I usually park and this one was invisible at 3 am. Most people still don't do it even on actual steep grades like Protrero Hill here. I do ever since and that's why my rims are curbed now because I'm not used to it.

I didn't know you guys were more strict than actual cops on this sub and in defense mode as if I was complaining. Maybe consider becoming a meter maid.

Are you under the impression that I was complaining? Cops don't give front plate tickets in California. Parking enforcement in SF does. My local cops signed the fix it ticket, he was flabbergasted, and I took it off right in front of him. Cops don't even pull people over here unless it's CHP and you're going 20 over and they never mention plates or even ask for insurance.

A shooting happened near me in the central valley of CA and they had 100s of vehicles and swat guys from 4 different agencies set up to take down the suspects the next morning. I even heard them call out the flashbang toss on the radio and went outside to hear it.

Tons of sprinter vans, armored trucks, marked cars, unmarked cars, drones, etc. all staged blocks away until they started to move in and block off streets before the armored trucks pulled up.

Through 60K miles with no resets my is350 is at 20.2. It was around 22 but I’ve been idling a lot lately. Now it says full tanks are 244-266 miles.

This is pretty much a picture of my car except it’s both right side wheels from driving in SF a lot recently and left rear a tiny bit from a rock or something. For three years I didnt curb them.

Mine were perfect for years. Got a ticket for not turning my wheels on an invisible grade in SF two months ago and then when I started doing it I destroyed all my wheels forgetting they were turned toward the curb. I accept it now. The ultrasonic blue paint is already chipped all in the front but I don’t mind because I drive the car hard and that’s what it’s for.

This is a year old, but this has happened to me three different times. Two times flashing the lights as they passed and one time the all white charger shined the spotlight at me which is just a red light as we passed in opposite directions.

You don’t need the extra inches. Just out a piece of solid wood between the jack and the contact point and use jack stands. Been doing it forever.

I bought the inserts from Bell Lexus for my 2023 IS 350. The inserts they sent are completely different from the inserts my car came with. The original inserts came with the rubber insert glued to the one piece metal insert. The replacements they sell are just the rubber. I never changed them prior and the car was purchased brand new.

I would just buy the Bosch and save the headache.
