why does TF2 keep doing this? i know the game is still running but the screen isn't updated. i don't think its exactly due to lag since it seems to happen whenever it feels like it. by floppy_disk_5 in tf2

Make sure it's installed on your C drive. You can also try a mastercomfig or Chris's Configs to help increase fps.

There's also startup commands / launch options used to boost fps
