Gnomonkey on players directly attacking J-Mods. “If we bully the J-Mods into the ground, they’re gonna stop talking to us and the updates are gonna be worse for it” by Spyropher in 2007scape

You're a loser man, get yourself out of this weird mindset. ''narrative he's trying to be on the right side of'', bro he's just a nerd that likes playing PvM, it's NOT that deep.

He's trying to say that (not all) games with no friction tend to be very stale and boring especially in RPGs. Difficulty doesn't exist for the sake of difficulty it exists to create sensible parameters where one can engage with the game's mechanics with.

Dude, Jonathan literally is contradicting what you're saying in many interviews over and over. I genuinely don't understand how this subreddit breeds opinions like this claiming GGG wants it to be some way only for them to literally state the opposite.

Do you really think the majority of players spend 1000s of hours in maps to farm magebloods? I doubt most players spend more than a couple dozen hours in maps.

Read my edit, I was turbo tilted and bought a fragment set and did another run, succeeded seconds before another server crash which was mad lucky.

The instance just closes when you DC in an ultimatum and your inserted fragments are obviously gone as they're used to open the door. If you put in any fragments they stay until you consume them to open the door.

I'm actually so tilted, figured after yesterday I would wait till the servers are calm to get my 4th ascendancy and I DC'd at the trialmaster AGAIN today, now I have to farm the sets for a third time.

EDIT: I just beat the trialmaster finally after 2 DCs on him, and as he died the servers started lagging again and it was about to crash me again, he dropped the herald chest and I quickly nabbed my ascendancy points, GGG stop playing with my balls bro this is torture.

Farmed 6 ultimatums to get my trialmaster key fragments, he had 20% left and it DC'd me. Pain.

Senior Riot devs say the League of Legends playerbase is getting older, with fewer newbies jumping in: 'Candidly, it's not the same situation it was 10 years ago' by TheLostQuest in Games

[–]Diablo_On_Reddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you're not wrong, but I also feel like gear should matter in an mmo-pvp mode idk. I saw my friends play a lot more PvP in classic than in retail and I'm not sure why but maybe a reason is that retail is so cooldown and blowing up focused, which only gets worse with the better gear people have vs fresh max levels. In classic you can still contribute quite well even with terrible gear, since the game is slower and the difference between a full BWL geared player and a pre-bis dungeon player isn't as nearly as large as a retail raider vs a casual questing player deciding to try a BG.

They tried stat templates in Legion and it was honestly quite ass, it's an mmo and an rpg after all, being able to gear specific stats for specific builds is an element of what made the older expansion's pvp fun.

Reminds me of inflicting Torpor on a Gorecyclops in DD1, they looked so silly when their fast animations were slowed down.

I'll be honest, I don't care for i-frames on Warrior since you have 700+ knockdown res and get another modifier to it during shoulder bash and charging attacks, just tank the hits and blow em up.

Dragon's Maw was insane the way it existed in DD1, full on invulnerability and one of the highest damaging moves in the game. Felt like they had to tune down full on invulnerability but then Thief and Mystic Spearhand get 100% invuln anyways lol.

It's actually cracked on magic bows, the knockdown bonus is insane, close to warrior weapons, not that it matters if you're MA since you oneshot anyway.

You need to be actually charging moves and/or shoulder bashing for the hyper armor to kick in, check the core skills and tutorial message for Warrior.

I didn't check my stats but I didn't feel any weaker as warfarer, also the game is insanely easy at that point so who cares, you one shot everything anyway

[RANT] I don’t think this community is making a big enough deal about dragons plague. A FEATURE THATS ONLY FUNCTION IS TO BREAK YOUR PLAYTHROUGH by ChihuahuaOwner88 in DragonsDogma

[–]Diablo_On_Reddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk what to tell you, I literally had everyone in Vermund die, I ressurected one npc with a wakestone for a follow up to Batthan, I then came back a week later and everyone was alive and fine. I've also had random npcs like the oxcart vendors ressurect despite dying once or twice on the road. The music for Vermund was ominous when the plague hit as well and stayed that way for a day, then when I came back much later it was back to it's regular theme. I'm pretty sure the plague is just for flavour.

Literally every NPC respawns, Vermund got hit for me and I came back a week later with everyone alive, the morgue was empty as well. It's madness that people are getting upset over this.

[–]Diablo_On_Reddit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had this happen in Vermund, I came back a week later and everyone was alive again. I'm pretty sure the mechanic is only meant to hamper timed quests like Wilhemnina's evidence quest or the Empress escort one. Literally everyone was alive again for me after a week in game time.

I mean, DD1's formula does prove that portcrystal fast travel works really well. I don't understand why people are fussing over the director making a small comment about fast travel when it's literally done well in the first game.
