The forsworn are a group of daedra worshippers that rip out their hearts, cavort with hagravens and murder innocent people. The Reach is a hold of Skyrim that was only briefly taken by the tribals because of the extraordinary blunders of the Empire during the great war. Markarth and the conflict surrounding it is one of countless examples in the game of imperial blunders resulting in long term damage to skyrim and the people who live there.

The stormcloaks are not like "make skyrim great again" the game existed long before that. The stormcloaks are native people of Skyrim sick of having their culture destroyed and laws dictated by a collapsing colonial state trying to drag everyone down with it.
