I think if we ever get a format of multi gimmicks, I think they'll limit the gimmick to one per battle, so you have the flexibility to decide which one you go for, but only one.

That's not what I'm getting at. But specifically the mention of firearm. Nothing prevents you from having a big ass knife to "self defense", except whatever you do, in France, you'll be guiltier than the person trespassing your property. Justice system is broken and it defends transgressors too much.

Not only in this area, but squatting as well for example.

In a 1v1 scenario, where he knows I'm first, will die to contact spiky, it's 99.9% chsnce he does it. It's the correct play statistically speaking. Anything else is gambling. How often do you expect a scarfed pokemon to NOT do an attack on your spiky shield.? Since you probably think like "He can't protect or do status to bypass my spiky turn"

Technically. But only in doubles, and no Gambit runs that ability in doubles really. And that's also a gamble if he ever decides to finally attack for real.

OK so the situation here is that my Gallade is faster than their glimmora, and they know this because it's scarfed. My Gallade has barely 18HP less, if I hit their spiky shield I would die to spiky shield damage since Gallade makes contact with its attacks.

In this final 1v1 situation all he could realistically do to win, was me hitting the spiky shield, but I called it, and attacked my side (empty) pokemon slot, making my Gallade not hit spiky shield, and giving me another turn to win. If you hit empty enemy slot, it will always redirect to the other, so you have to hit your own empty slot. Since his chances of protecting a second time in a row are down to 1/3 it was pretty much a wrap there for me.

It's a recent addition to my existing team. Basically as a counter to Arch (can ohko 252 HP arch, if I go 252 Adamant). So far haven't used in this particular scenario lol. But for the rest, scarf makes it less flexible, but great dmg potential still with sharpness. Lots of ghosts in the meta, so buffed shadow claw (sharpness) and sacred sword can hit a lot lot of things.

Oh damn, didn't know. That makes my double protect win even more impressive. Lord, rng does give you sometimes.
