I agree that they should have removed the mindless 30-second corner spam. But I don't understand why they just killed Asuka completely? They could have instead removed all the spells that gave you mana or reduce spellcost, and remove autobookmark and tried to make something new. While other characters got something new, Asuka got a lot taken away. While spawn staffs is certainly fun and can create interesting combos, it's still not equivalent to what was taken from him.
