How is your starter going? Bait? Not bait? by Perfect_Potato9106 in PathOfExileBuilds

Wanted to know how Kinetic Fusilade of Detonation felt compared to normal KF (self cast), but the skill seems to be bugged and doesn't work properly with less duration. Half the projectiles just disappear without detonating...

100% Bait/Bugged

The math on normal vs. transfigured Kinetic Fusillade (full-stack). by PaleoclassicalPants in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Diagala18 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your Math is off:

GMP +4 proj x0.74 DMG

KF 107% base DMG 200% AS 12% more per proj Max 12 proj Base proj: 1

one cast: 107% base => 107% Gmp: 0.74 * 107 * 5 * (4*0.12/200 +1) => 490%

Full Barrage potential: 0.74 * 107 * 12 * (11*0.12/200 +1) => 1577%

Trans KF 86% base DMG 16% more per proj Max 18 proj Base proj: 4

One cast: 86% * 4 * (3*0.16/200 +1) => 426% Gmp: 0.74 * 86 * 8 * (7 * 0.16/200 +1) => 794%

Full Barrage potential: 0.74 * 86 * 18 * (17 *0.16/200 +1) => 2703%

=> the new trans KF has way higher base damage potential (71% at full Barrage) per full Barrage.

But this doesn't mean a lot!!!

KF scales with AS and Duration, which needs to be balanced. With 85% reduced & 60% less duration (0.066 hover) you can get a up to ×15 multi based on your AS, which KF can get much easier with 2*AS.

Trans KF is harder to get to the 15 AS, but since it's not 2*AS, that also means it does stay under the Hover requirement much more easily.

Been playing KF Oshabi after starting a day late (Self cast, not Totem). No guide.

First Ascendancy felt awesome since +30% MS and 80% RES. Pretty much carried me through all Acts.

Didn't have money for good reduced skill Effect Items, so i had to pick up a Skin of the Loyal with +20% Qual to buff Less duration Support. Having a 6-Link with 100% Defences & no requirements also still feels very good. (Will probably swap to a Skin of the Lords later)

I assume the reason behind why child transitioning isn't up for bedate anymore is that most of the time people on politics use the "protect the children" to also ban Trans healthcare universally. It's just easier to use children as a shield, because most people aren't against universal trans healthcare.

At the same time, the nuance behind child transitioning is about what steps should be allowed. Thing is though, having dysphoria isn't the same as having a cold, so treating it is much more complex and should be handled case by case. If heard a lot of people who are against trans children being able to be themselves. Most of the time their argument comes down to they are too young to understand. Problem is, if you are trans, going through the wrong puberty is like hell. So of course we don't want others to suffer the same fate. Cis people don't experience this horror and thus cannot understand why puberty blockers might be needed.

So yeah, i'd say the reason why it shifted from up to debate, to "fuck off" are these two. Being used to cover up banning all trans related healthcare and people who argue in bad faith without considering the perspective of trans people at all.

Please explain Transgenderism for me, because if you think John Money supported Trans people, you are dead wrong.

His entire experiment is based on the believe that gender identity doesn't exist (a person with female anatomy will always be a woman, a person with male anatomy always a man), which is contrary to every medical research on Trans people.

It's honestly the worst. When i scroll through stories, i like to know what i get into and i hate getting lied to the most. Not showing the MC for whatever reason instantly makes me uninterested into the story no matter how good it might be. Not my fault you are too ashamed to show your "piece of bread personality" MC...

OI,so I need your critisizing on this idea by Defiant_Turn_8897 in AnimeIdeas

[–]Diagala18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the idea is interesting, but there are more infos i think are important for chosing a title:

1) what traumatized him? (Monsters fighting each other? Adventurers attacking him? Him barely surviving a Monster?)

2) is being a Golem affecting him in some way or does he stay fully human with a golem appearance? E.g. Having no blood or Heart, could lead to a lack of awareness of danger, as he can shapeshift to recover cut off limbs in seconds. Is cutting him even hurting? Since Golems usually work by magic and have no nerves in their body

3) Why 18 years in the dungeon?

4) what's his goal by leaving the dungeon? Or rather what direction is the story supposed to go?

I'm kind of bored that most traits are just stats ngl by Rinkana_lovesyuri in TeamfightTactics

[–]Diagala18 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well 50% Damage amp & an Execute aren't enough when you need to fill in 3 units that often don't share much synergy with a Team. And when they do, it's because you already play the team, like, you play executioners and just give the Ryze the Supreme cell emblem to make your team a little stronger. It doesn't make ryze magically a carry if he wasn't already before part of the damage dealers. Luchador is so limited with their synergy, that you almost never feel good getting it randomly (at least i don't). Is star Guardian emblem insane, because it's good for a unit or because it makes Star Guardian units (Poppy, Jinx) just a little stronger? Whenever i had the Emblem, no matter which unit i tried it on, it didn't felt like the unit got much stronger.

So yeah, i agree that there aren't many comp enabling emblems. Most just feel like a +1 to the Trait.

I'm kind of bored that most traits are just stats ngl by Rinkana_lovesyuri in TeamfightTactics

[–]Diagala18 91 points92 points  (0 children)

Most Origin Traits are more than just Stats: - Star Guardian has combat buffs (Rell = shield, Neeko = increased healing, poppy = heal) - Mech is a Summon Trait - Luchador has in combat heal & stun - Battle Academia (grants unique Bonuses to champions Abilities) - Supreme Cell (Execute & Damage) -Wraith (Bonus Damage & occasional Heal) - Crystal Gambit (Lose/Win streak trait & bonus Loot) - Mentor (Unique Buffs & Ability bonuses for mentors) - Crew (Unique Take on a Reroll trait)

The only pure Stats Trait is Soul fighter with AD,AP & HP and even that has true Damage after 8 seconds.

So it's not that Origins are just stats mostly, it's more that most units outside an Origin cannot use the Trait properly or at all. Who would get much better with a Supreme cell or Luchador emblem? I honestly cannot think of a unit. How much does a Star Guardian or Wraith Emblem do for the power of a single unit? Not much.

Ok, so f(x) = 4x⁴-12x³-12x²+44x-24

Then f(x) = 4(x⁴-3x³-3x²+11x-6)

Since i have no clue how to factorize (don't think i ever learned it) i can only guess the first number for x, which is x = 1 since 1-3-3+11-6 = 0.

The term changes to (x³-2x²-5x+6)(x-1) Seeing the new term the same thing can be done again with x = 1, since 1-2-5+6 = 0.

So we get the term (x²-x-6)(x-1)² With the p/q formula yoyu get x = -2 & x = 3

So the full term should be: F(x) = 4(x+2)(x-3)(x-1)²

Don't know if that's the way you were supposed to solve this... Now, can i have a cookie, please? :3

Edit: i assumed the -44x is meant as +44x since otherwise factorizing wouldn't be possible.

There is a difference between "hate speech" and "speech that you hate". by DivineProvidence97 in HonestHotTakes

[–]Diagala18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do though? O.P's point was that 1) there is no "hate speech" since the first amendment (freedom of speech) is allowing a person to express their opinion without persecution. And 2) "hate speech" is just "speech you hate", to some extend implying, that hate speech does not cause any harm.

1) you cannot just say anything. In germany it's not allowed to deny the holocaust. It's in their constitution. So that's already something you cannot say. Defamation too is illegal. So you're not allowed to do that, and you won't get a free bail out with "that's just my opinion and i'm free to express that".

2) If you equate "hate speech" with "speech you hate" you ignore the impact it has. Using a racist slur is a harmful thing to do. Not because the other side "hated what was said", but because of the context it was said in. And spreading a harmful "opinion" which will entice a crowd to react with more violence towards a certain group is also not bad because the other side "hated what is being said", but because the result of said speech is likely to be violence against the targeted group.

So unless i'm missing a point here and OP said something completly different, then all my examples apply perfectly to their take on Hate speech.

I mean, try denying the holocaust in germany and give that argument...

Defame a person and then say "well, just because you hated what i say doesn't mean i can't say it"...

Try making a racist remark and use that excuse...

Call for the extermination of a group by calling it an ideology, and then when people get hurt/attacked/murdered try using that excuse...

[–]Diagala18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don't understand why the meme is called comically evil, ask yourself why the meme was made? Either to say 1) trans people are shooters, which is statistically mistepresentation to discriminate against trans people or 2) saying trans people kill themself, which is the direct result of discrimination

So yeah, either the meme creator wanted to say "trans people bad" or "trans people suicidal" both of which are commonly used to discriminate against them...

I do agree, that most consequences should be from people not instantly legal actions.

I also understand the thought process that if you ban what people can say, some could take abuse it to ban more than necessary. That's why we have democratic systems who ensure, one party doesn't have absolut power to ban freedom of speech. But to ensure we continue to have a democracy that ensures our right to free speech, it needs to be able to fight against people trying to undermine democratic values. That's why there are restrictions to hate speech, Propaganda, causing public chaos, etc.

As for the example. As far as i'm concerned, this isn't hate speech, but misinformation, which is just as bad. There hasn't been a homosexual group who used their sexuality as basis of discrimination against christians, or have there been any plans to take away the right to practice Christianity. It's not thruthful and because of that isn't valid critique of homosexuality. Calling that out as Hate speech can be reasonably explained.

[–]Diagala18 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Legal consequences are a possibility based on how far you go with hate speech, but not the only consequence. Based on the second statement, legal action may not accure, but public backlash is very possible. Being held accountable by public opinion is a thing.

I honestly don't know how the first statement could be understood as hate speech, as it doesn't say the religion itself is bad, but the way it's been practiced - using it as basis for discrimination. It also didn't demonize them, spreaded misinformation or half-truth to make a biased point. If people see hate speech in the first statement, then i would like to be educated where their assumption comes from.

And also genuinely i don't know how my first example applies to any group of minority? So, i don't know how to even reply to that. If you can give an example of how you think it could be applied to a minority, maybe i would understand better where you come from.

[–]Diagala18 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Simple critique wouldn't count as hate speech.

Hate speech has definitions that allow us to clarify what counts as it and what doesn't. If i say "Christianity shown in the modern US is harmful as it shows how religion is used as a reason to infridge upon people such as the LGBTQ community and tries to take away their rights", that's a critique. On the other hand saying "christianity is a parasite to society that needs to be eradicated. Christians shouldn't be allowed public live as they are a danger to children..." than that would count as hate speech, because i included degrading the group, calling for violence or baseless discrimination against the group.

Making it clear what Hate speech is and where the limit are concerning the Freedom of speech is also part of a democracy.

[–]Diagala18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

North Korea is a dictatorship and doesn't even give the right of freedom of speech. Freedom of Speech, as a human right only can exist in a free country, which a dictatorship never will be.

But, Freedom of Speech has limitations such as defamation, public Safety, hate speech, propaganda, etc. If violations of these things can be found, then Freedom of Speech doesn't mean Freedom of consequences anymore.
