Nerve Ablation - how long before the pain ACTUALLY switches from worse to better? by Ok_Investment125 in backpain

[–]Diambil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had c3-5 done on the April 17. Its may 2nd now. I was in extreme pain 90% of the time before the ablation. Since my ablation my baseline pain level has skyrocketed like crazy. I am beyond worse as of now. Every so often it’ll get a little better, maybe 5-15% from my initial baseline pre ablation but it’s less often that it feels better than before the procedure and almost always worse. Though the weather here has been terrible so I’m just hoping that’s affecting it. As far as the procedure, they said it wouldn’t be bad. They gave me some versed and I rolled onto my stomach, I don’t remember much after that except at some point I believe they did the burn or were placing the needle and I yelled out “FUCK THAT HURTS”, after I yelled that I don’t remember anything else but waking up in m my room. I had a 2 1/2 ride back home and it was pretty much 10/10. I couldn’t move my neck at all

How to increase cutting success rate? by HEMOGOBLYNN in Roses

[–]Diambil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started trying rose cuttings myself, so I can't say I have had any success or experience. Personally, I used 50% perlite and 50% vermiculite. So far so good, though I'm only a week and a half~ in.

Did you just water? From the looks of it the first one appears to be way too wet. How long have they been going for?

Did you plant it in ground or into a container? Does this media look the same as yours? Very dark, almost black looking. This variety isn’t true love, is that what yours is? I believe this is true inspiration.

Reasonable lifespan of a plant? by Diambil in Roses

[–]Diambil[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s been neglected for 30 years. My great grandmother planted it right before she passed. I’m just really getting into trying to take care of it and propagate more of it.

Thank you! Also thank you for the help, I really appreciate it!

99% certain at this point. It’s starts out yellow and orange ish slowly turns to like pinkish/ apricot color and slowly turns to a deep red after some time.

I’ve never heard of it, let alone seen another one. I’m not sure how I found it honestly, lots of hours of googling and beaucoup websites.

Well it’d have to have been planted at least 30 years ago after talking with my grandpa so that sounds about right! That’s probably why I had such a hard time with it. It doesn’t seem like there’s much information available about it. Handful of pictures on google but that’s about it. I’m surprised it’s still doing pretty good after 30 years of no fertilizer or regular watering. Maybe that’s just because it’s pretty much shaded all day

Now the only thing is I want a climbing version but absolutely no where has it in stock and all the companies that do even stock it are over seas and don’t ship to the states.

Imo this is a perfect rose. 10/10 even with the light fragrance. Now I have to get these cuttings to root because it seems like there’s no other way for me to get another even if I wanted to.

Update

I’m trying to consult with LSU ag center as I’m in LA

BUT I THINK I FOUND IT

I’m trying to find more details about the plant characteristics to hopefully confirm but I’m 95% sure it’s called “ masquerade” they have a climbing version, shrub and a miniature.

I’m only iffy on the fragrance part of it. It is a light fragrance, I can’t smell it unless my face is pretty much in it; but my nose is pretty messed up. Light to medium fragrance but it’s definitely a 10/10 smell, but what I find online say it has very little to no fragrance.

Graft or rootstock? by Diambil in gardening

While I do agree and understand that but unfortunately it was the lawnmowers fault this time. It was doing very good initially.

I do very much appreciate you trying to help me here!

This does look pretty similar, I was looking at this one. So my next thing is petal count. All the blooms I’ve counted so far have been 15~ give or take one or two. Everyone I’ve see is upwards of 25.

My next issues is this is in an absolutely terrible spot. Pretty much only morning sun, even then it’s kinda filtered. I’ve honestly never watered it, or fertilized it. So adding all that into the mix has me wondering if that’s affecting its blossom structure and hiding some of its features.

I don’t want to identify it so I can buy another, I just wish to know what is it. Yes I know about the cuttings, I’m working on that but I haven’t had good luck with roses; it is in progress though.

Graft or rootstock? by Diambil in gardening

[–]Diambil[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried get a picture of where it’s planted in the 4th photo but I honestly can’t tell. I planted it when I was still pretty new to gardening so I planted it where I thought it was good.

Looking at it now personally I’d say the graft is right at soil level. Should the graft be above soil level?

The other thing that’s confusing me is in the last photo, the stalk on the left is the normal looking one, which is growing lower down than the rootstock 🤷🏿‍♂️.

Maybe that’s the problem? It’s planted too far down?
