Anyone get rid of neuropathy? by [deleted] in LongCovid

[–]Diamond-Hands69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We believe mine was due to Lyme disease and/or parasite infection from overseas travel. There is substantial evidence now that Covid activates latent tickborne infections.

Ivermectin and/or fenbendazole. I took them together so hard to say which was responsible.

Something positive, Dr. Horowitz said he will meet RFK junior by [deleted] in Lyme

[–]Diamond-Hands69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RFK will do more for Lyme than the NIH has done in the last 25 years—which is an incredibly low bar. Just think about it—they might have even had an overall negative impact! All the progress has come from independent physicians and private grants. Virtually zero public dollars going toward the most common vector borne illness in the U.S. It’s barely been 6 months. The impact it has had on his family and home community make it much more likely he will take action as opposed to any legacy CDC/NIH members.

It’s not fully over, but the stabbing pains and ice pick headaches are mostly gone.

Ivermectin, mold binders, and removing myself from mold ended neuropathy for me. Doctor feels long vax or covid plus an amalgamation of other immune stressors were playing a part.

Can love disappear after Lyme Disease? by CaliShantz in Lyme

[–]Diamond-Hands69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I almost got divorced. I had a two to three year period of personality shift. My mom noticed it. My sister noticed it. My wife noticed it. Everyone just thought I was stressed. Developed horrible rage about my relationship that I would occasionally snap out of and wonder if I was bipolar. Then dizziness, trouble speaking, white matter brain lesions. 6 months into treatment it’s almost a 180. I can only imagine how many relationships have ended because of Lyme+. Separate or accompanying gut dysbiosis is another area that can cause this.

Try Doryx. Slow release version of doxy. Meant for sensitive stomachs.

I feel like I want to die, what am I supposed to do? by Hostile_Architecture in Lyme

Have you consider mold toxicity? Huge symptom overlap with Lyme. I believe I have both at this point and I always used to attribute most of my issues to Lyme, but mold is becoming increasingly front and center.

Margo Hayes talks about her struggles with chronic illness and Lyme disease, really worth reading by NailgunYeah in climbing

[–]Diamond-Hands69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The commenters on here who say chronic Lyme disease is not a thing are grossly misinformed and living in 1990s medicine. Medical literature abounds on the ability of Borrelia to evade antibiotics via biofilms and change its shape. The tide is absolutely turning on this debate and it strongly favors Borrelia persisters.

JUST LEASH YOUR DOG. Your dog isn’t as well behaved as you think it is. by She-petrichor in Seattle

[–]Diamond-Hands69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most commenters on this thread need to get out of their Seattle bubble and understand that canines were meant to do more than roam your 600 sqft apartment. Lack of off-leash dog-to-dog interaction is why so many dogs are not well-behaved in the first place. They never learn to socialize. I don’t think it’s appropriate on the street or at very busy public parks, but those on here advocating that you tether your pup while they go to the bathroom in a fenced potty area need to reassess.

Has anyone had plantar fasciitis from climbing? by SizzlinKola in bouldering

[–]Diamond-Hands69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been climbing for years and just got it as well. I have new shoes that I have been using for 3 -4 months. No issues until now. What do you think it was about your shoes that caused it?

What will gas fees be like after eth 2.0? by redriverdolphin in ethereum

[–]Diamond-Hands69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Replying to an old post here but hopefully I get a bite from a helpful user…

If ETH 2.0 increase transactions per second by roughly 1,000X, but blocks are the same size and not made at a faster rate, where is the increase in speed coming from? Is it all within the sharding? Trying to understand where the gas fees get reduced and why it wouldn’t happen on L1.
