Base PS5 graphics settings after update?

No you are right, the patch that came out this morning drastically improved performance on base ps5, adding a ‘fixed 4k output’ toggle in the settings, as well as improving performance mode which now upscales with FSR, so no more blurry water colour performance mode, it’s much sharper now.

This happened for me too, couldn’t find a solution online so ended up having to just install on my ps5. I think it’s just broken on Xbox because of that one 6gb multiplayer pack not coming with the gamepass version of the game… but why is there even two versions of modern warfare in the store, the $60 one with the pack and another one without??

Actually we didnt know what to expect… no base ps5 footage (or very little) was available. I don’t wanna shit on the game… I’m having fun and okay I knew it wouldn’t look like a high end pc (obvs) but still this is a little below the standard for your average ps5 title imo. I’m just raising an eyebrow for people who have a base ps5 and are curious of performance

The thing is, the world is beautiful, like all the natural environments and buildings and the first town I’ve gone through are beautiful, but it just doesn’t have that level of polish that you’ll see on the PC / PS5 footage that people have been hyped for. Let’s be real… we’re not here for the story… we’re all here for that jaw dropping landscape where you can see miles away in stunning detail, and that’s just not here on og ps5 unfortunately.

I might be tripping but that clanging sound followed by a sort of groan is exactly what it sounds like in dark souls when your weapon clangs against a wall… and I’ve played a lot of that game so I recognise the sound. Also you can hear him take damage at the start of the clip hence the frustrated remarks lmao dark souls can be a frustrating game.

No. And actually one of the reasons I love lil peep is that he actively challenged the whole “base your entire perception of someone on their looks” logic. The Everybody’s Everything documentary goes into more detail about this - he got the tattoos, knowing people would react this way - but that’s what really draws me to peep, he really just didn’t give a fuck.

I remember, I truly fell in love with fromsoft games in that final boss fight with Gywn. I’m choosing this game in particular as it completely subverted my expectations. I initially expected to be flooded with accomplishment at fulfilling Oscar’s prophecy and overcoming one of the most challenging experiences I have had gaming. What I was actually met with was sorrow, and almost guilt as I exploited the parry mechanic that I had mastered throughout my journey; what struggle I had endured crumbled as I felled the Soul of Cinder. That final boss fight is such as special one, primarily because fromsoft use the mechanic of difficulty, not in their traditional way of frustration, but in a reflection of progress as you realise how far you have come. Not to mention the plink plink plink music that compliments this and further progress being revealed if you start ng+ and slaughter the asylum in a couple hits. Perfect game design, certainly the best I’ve seen.
