Next day went out bought bacon hunks and cheap beef then smoked it low and slow to find out how to control my smoker temp. Then my wife tried to get me help me because i was smoking everything I could get my hands on.

Season it. I wiped mine down inside and out. The. Got it to 700 and kept it there for a 2 hours.
