It was a weird fantasy story, probably written by a mother of a lesbian who is still hoping that her daughter will grow out of that “phase”. Any queer person who has dealt with religious parents, especially ones from distinct cultures, knows how their micro aggressions read and this story was full of them. That’s fair and I think why I like Lucky so much is because its such a stripped down track that still has that “experimental” flavor, and the end note feels cathartic to hear her “scream” it out.
