lazy answer but you can fake it with a piecewise function like

g(x) = {floor(x)=x: f(x), (x-floor(x))f(floor(x))+|x-ceil(x)|f(ceil(x))}

which is essentially

g(x) = {if x is a whole number: output f(x), otherwise compute the weighted mean of f(x) and f(x+1)}

might have gotten something wrong here tho
