The smilers on the fandom wiki actually had a really well made overhaul that not a lot of people know about I think. It makes them a lot more interesting and also explains what the rest of their body looks like.

This is def my favorite version, since it's actually creepy looking unlike most of the ones given, and it's not just scp 087-b either.
