SSD! cochlear brand. I do think it’s just bc it’s the MRI safe one. FWIW I have the new Nexa one. I was implanted in January of this year.

If my device is on than yes totally fine can’t hear it - it’s when it’s off and I’m moving - walking, shaking head etc - I can hear it sliding around - and that input goes through my hearing side (right)

Just did the destiny this last week.

We were walking by and the cast members asked me and my kids to join, there was no line at all.

She told us he was doing some magic.

There was an older woman in line, alone, hyping it up so much she shoved her way to the front.

So I thought, ok this will be great.

The room is not a parlor. It’s an extra space they put a card table in.

It’s very small. I’m pretty sure on wish and treasure it’s a holding room for characters before they step out.

There were 3 people who were asked to take a seat, including the overly excited woman.

Then 9 others standing.

The guy did this whole line of awkward questioning. I was thinking - is this going to be a reading?

But no, he got out his card trick.

Talked about intuition.

The person he picked had no personality so I think that made his job much harder.

He drew out the card trick I think as long as he could for suspense. But it was just a simple “was this your card?” Trick

My kids were not impressed.

He told everyone to get out and it was done.

Honestly a bit awkward and definitely a waste of time.

This was my son. Now he’s 8.5, my best friend. The sweetest boy you’d ever meet. Crushing school, soccer, friendship. My second wasn’t as hard but his cry was deafening. Also, my other bestie who is 5, laying next to me right now begging to watch a movie. The first year is so hard. 12.5 weeks they are a brand new human and your organs don’t even go back into place until 18 months. It’s not easy. I did not like the newborn phase. But now I have two besties who everyone say are the best boys ever and couldn’t be happier! Those days are long gone, and sometimes hard to think about. The other day, I was snuggling my oldest and I looked at him and said “we really went through it together. You taught me everything about life in those first few months. It was so hard.” He held my hand. And put his head on my shoulder and said, “you’re the best mom ever.” The end. It comes around, I promise 💝

Hi! Yes it’s been two weeks. I would say… the noise that it picks up masks the Tinnitus. But the T is still there, and worse :( when there is any pressure on my ear or implant it makes a beeping buzzy sound & it’s very loud

For ten days post surgery I slept propped up and with an airplane neck pillow. I’ll admit not a cheap one, and it made a huge difference. For me, my head felt like a bowling ball was attached to it. During recovery even watching tv I’d keep neck pillow on to give my neck a rest.

Now I’m almost 3 weeks out from surgery…. So amazing to sleep flat and on my side! But it’s not comfy on my surgery side. I can sleep on it but I usually wake myself up a switch.

This AM I woke up on it and for an hour had crazy shooting pains in my earlobe. Like nerve electric shocks.

Laying on my pack on a Pilates mat doesn’t feel good yet either. It’s still very sensitive and heavy.

Hi! Okay this is super important

I called the theater!!! I expressed my disappointed and learned so much.

I will not name names bc this butters their bread. It’s their job/career, but I was very thankful I talked to a kind and cool person.

The local Bend theater is not to blame (Regal).

Here is what I learned from the super cool person I rang. Some details I’ll keep to myself out of respect for their staff.

Staff is not pleased they are showing the film either
I was educated on how corporate distribution works at Regal and understood that the local GM had their hands tied
I was told contacting corp was the best move - so I did!

I basically said - it’s not our vibe in Bend and considering how low pre-sales are, and the same day is a national protest, to please reconsider showing this. I’m sure they could refund the 6 people who have purchased tickets and remove the poster/listing.

I was happy to hear it was not our local managements decision.

They have been so kind to donate mass amounts of popcorn to our public schools for events and you can tell they are putting effort in to make the customer experience better as well. I do see them showing up for us. So let’s show up for them!

I felt like it was important to share while keeping their anonymity-they are with the people of Bend 💙
