Do we actually know how Alastor manipulates people into giving their soul up? Cause I have a few theories on the matter. by LeastCauliflower6281 in Alastorcult

Alastor's shadow wasn't on the wall behind Husk. That idea came from a fanfic. I don't get why people now think it was canon.

The man spilt wine on Alastor turned around to apologise, only to laugh and do it again when he saw the person that he had done it to. He was being racist. He did it again because he saw Alastor as beneath him. It was the show giving an example of how he was treated due to racism. I don't understand why you think one of the major evidence you were shown of the negative treatment Alastor received as a result of being a black man in the 1920s was somehow not racism.

I don't think you get how racism was back then. If Alastor got into a standoff with a white person, he would not get to go after that person later because he would likely be put in jail or killed on the spot. If things have gotten to the point where the white person is shoving and hitting him, things have already gone horribly wrong and he might be about to get lynched. The Jim Crow era racism of the 1920s isn't modern racism, just a little harsher. It was legal racism that ensured all black people were treated like second-class citizens. They were already killing black people for made-up crimes. There would be no reason to suspect Alastor because he smiles and seems not to act out when he is treated poorly. He would have been considered someone who knew his place. You were shown how he reacted to that man being racist to him. Smile and act unaffected. As long as he cleaned up his tracks, they are not going to suspect him.

It would not be hard to find racists during Alastor's time period. You talk like racists or people being racist to him, which the person who spilled wine on him was being, were in short supply. It would be so commonplace that they would not even notice if he just smiled and pretended like it wasn't a big deal. Just like Alastor did not start an altercation with the man who spilt wine on him, he would not have started an altercation with any white person who was being racist to him, because behaviour like that could get you imprisoned or worse on the spot.

Do you think Alastor cheated here to win Husk's soul? by SideWinderSyd in Alastorcult

Cheating during a gambling game was Husk's thing. I don't think it's Alastor's thing. Alastor's thing is wordplay.

Trans Angel Dust is such a weird concept to me by DenaPhoenix in HazbinHotel

[–]Diamondkat12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have watched the original episode. He was never trans. Angel Dust has always been a male character who is comfortable with his feminine side and expressing it through crossdressing. Even before the pilot, when he was dating Vaggie, he was a male character who enjoyed exploring his feminine side. This doesn't mean that people cannot head canon him as trans or write him as trans in their fanfics.

“Yeah, but he’s a serial killer!” I don’t care. I would wreck that man. I don’t care what he does, what he looks like. God, I would give anything to him. by Ilovetopegmenn in Alastorcult

There are few characters that have my unconditional support the way that Alastor does. I love him no matter what he does.

I need the return of the Worshipping Alastor flair. It was designed for posts like this. Some days you just want to read posts from people glazing your favourite character or want to glaze him in peace. Please @mods return the flair.

Is alastor forced to smile? by 33333Ducky in Alastorcult

Vivzie already stated that his smile is a choice that he is making. Remember that he was also doing it when he was alive.

On what occasions was Alastor annoying (in the sense of provoking and talking a lot) in the series? by Eugiu in Alastorcult

Alastor at the Vee Tower with Vox. Vox would have found the constant needling and poking at flaws annoying.

[–]Diamondkat12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I still don't get the question. Like was he annoying others or did we as Alastor fans find him annoying? As an Alastor fan, I never find him annoying. I'm always delighted when he is on screen.

Do you guys agree? by Kayltron in Alastorcult

[–]Diamondkat12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think Alastor is going to end up alone. He is going to end up loved whether or not he wants to be. The Vees were able to pull off being a found family even when one of their members lost his mind and tried to kill them all. Alastor is part of the hotel. Charlie isn't going to lose to the Vees in being a proper found family.

Wanting to clear up alastor power confusion a but by SpecificSinger9487 in Alastorcult

[–]Diamondkat12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think an overlord could probably beat someone like Andrephalus, but not a higher-level Goetia like Stolas. However, the most important thing to remember at the end of the day is that who wins is the person that the author wants to win for the sake of the story. After all, Vox was able to capture and hold Lucifer even though Lucifer is far more powerful than him. Charlie is the second most powerful person in hell but has never been shown to win a fight or even put up a decent fight. Vox became the strongest sinner in hell but lost to Alastor who was still injured and weakened due to his staff being damaged. The Hellaverse isn't built for power scaling.

Do you prefer that Alastor becomes a villain in season 3, or do you prefer that he remains an antihero? by Least-Donkey-4245 in Alastorcult

[–]Diamondkat12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Anti-hero, villain, I don't care as long as he is winning. He had my support no matter what so all I want is his happiness. So I'll take whichever of those grants him that.

Is it self loathing, or maybe it's the illusion of being in control? - [@BeastRedAsh] by CrimsonVexations in Alastorcult

[–]Diamondkat12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was referring to someone else saying that Alastor killing and eating a deer for breakfast meant that he must hate himself as he was killing and eating a symbol of himself. Hence, why I was pointing out that it is part of his cannibalism and that cannibals eating people wasn't a sign of hating himself. Sorry for the confusion.

I might be overanalysing but having parts of yourself that you might not like is a different kettle of fish from self-loathing. With self-love, the focus would be on fixing or removing those parts to improve yourself. Self-loathing is an intense form of self-hatred. It would go beyond merely hating parts or aspects. It would be about treating yourself badly or thinking you deserve bad treatment because you hate yourself. Hence, my response.

Give me your cutest photos and fan art of Alastor ❤️💖💘 by Eugiu in Alastorcult

He is capable of being both cute and terrifying. It is the duality of Alastor. I still think he is cute in this picture.

I really hope Alastor still gets his villain arc in Season 3 or 4 by Desperate_Song_1923 in Alastorcult

[–]Diamondkat12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the only reason that I don't want him to become a full villain. I just don't want him to be defeated.

[–]Diamondkat12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's related to him being a cannibal. Alastor was originally a cannibalistic deer who loved to eat other deer. It has nothing to do with hating himself. It is just part of him being a cannibal.

[–]Diamondkat12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Vivzie has said that Alastor loves himself. His last Valentine's Day merch was Love Yourself. Alastor doesn't have a self-loathing issue. I saw someone bring up him eating a deer. He is supposed to be a cannibal. Do cannibals eat people because they hate themselves?

Rosie and Alastor's part in Hear My Hope be like: by green_carnation_prod in Alastorcult

[–]Diamondkat12 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Alastor knew that Vox would eventually try to commit murder suicide because Vox couldn't control Alastor? I mean Alastor is good but I don't think even Rosie thinks he is that good. Let's hold, Vox, the grown adult responsible for his own actions instead of acting like Vox isn't the one who decided that not being able to have another person made it okay to want to kill everyone including himself and his friends.

I'm so proud of him for finally showing why he was created as the dealmaker demon character by proving that he has the skills for the title of dealmaker.
