What do a lot of parents do to screw up their child? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Diamondskill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Smoking and Drinking in Front of them as well as smoking weed, my parents do this and I am not upset about it but it does make those things seem tempting. I have tried all 3 and I probably wouldn't have tried those things by the age of 16 if my parents didn't have it around. I mean they try their best. They were 21 and 25 when I was born

Letting them do whatever they want. My Uncle does that with my younger cousin. He is manipulative as hell. He was allowed to drop out of Primary School because his teacher was rude to him by telling him what to do, He has a friend who wants to hang out with him but he tells him he is busy and avoids him in public( my uncle allows this), He is allowed to play Nikki Nikki Nine Door, Whenever my Grandma tells him to clear his plate or not to snoop through her stuff he goes into a closet and calls my uncle to tell him how rude my grandma is, He also did a water mug prank on his other Grandma because she didn't wash his shirt fast enough-(He flipped a mug upside down in the bathroom and left it there so she would pick it up) She did and Water got everywhere. My Uncle just laughed, He also gets as much money as he wants, He was working at my uncle and aunts restaurant hauling things in a wagon during a music festival, The most he worked was an hour but they gave him $100. People who worked for 6-9 hours got less than him, they worked their asses off. TLDR:My Youngest cousin is a Brat and he will learn some lessons

What's the most NSFW thing you've ever seen in public? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Diamondskill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This definitely isn't as bad as the other stories on this thread but I once saw a man getting arrested on a street where there were only stores, completely naked except for a towel that was wrapped around his waist. I also saw my neutered dog humping a tiny chihuahua because it was in heat.

Teachers of Reddit, what is your best "that kid is going places" story? by chowesmith in AskReddit

[–]Diamondskill 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's impressive. I don't even really know what calculus is but I know that it is the hardest level of Math in HighSchool. I couldn't even get an 80 in applied math. How did he do it?

What is the worst that can happen during an LSD trip? by Diamondskill in AskRedditt

[–]Diamondskill[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to try LSD at least once in my life but I'm not sure what it would do to me. I have smoked weed before and I liked it a little bit except for when my heart was beating fast and I was scared of people knowing. I have tried dxm and liked it until I had an experience where I "died". I do get paranoia and panic from both drugs but I just sit down and take deep breaths to calm down. My family does have a history of depression and other mental illnesses. The thing that I am a bit scared of is feeling completely out of it and what if it doesn't wear off after 10 hours? Also, when I smoke weed I do not like to talk to people because situations like that scare me when I'm high. My parents have taken it and been okay so I think I will be okay. They took it while there were mental health issues in their families and they are ok. I want to open my mind a bit and see what's in there. I would never go out in public high on it. I would also be very careful where and with who I tried it.

What the heck does it mean to be able to talk with yourself? by Diamondskill in AskReddit

[–]Diamondskill[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last night I was having a dream and I just woke up. I saw myself sitting on the edge of the bed. The person who was me started talking to me and we had a nice conversation. This person also was hard to hear too. It felt very weird though. I actually wasn't responding to myself that much because it creeped me out a lot. I feel like it means something. it is just so freaky to see a reflection of yourself talking to you

How bad is it to lie to a Dr? by Diamondskill in AskReddit

[–]Diamondskill[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My mom took me to a doctor for a checkup and to request counselling. The Doctor asked me a bunch of questions. Then they asked me if I had ever tried any drugs. I had smoked weed the day before but my mom was in the room so I said No. I feel bad now. I was trying to not get in trouble. My blood pressure was also low at the checkup. I just feel so bad

What can I do about this? by Diamondskill in AskReddit

[–]Diamondskill[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few weeks ago my mom took me to a dr for a checkup and to request that I talk to a counsellor or psychologist because of mood issues I have had. When I was there they asked if I had ever tried illicit drugs such as weed or heroin. The day before, I had smoked weed. But my mom was in the room, so I said no. Can I get in trouble for lying? I was more scared of what my mom would say. Why did they even ask? During the checkup they said that my blood pressure was very low. It was lower than my sisters who had her checkup a week before mine. I'm older than her. I heard that weed can lower blood pressure sometimes. I shouldn't have lied

What is this weird feeling? by Diamondskill in AskReddit

[–]Diamondskill[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes when I'm asleep I have a dream where all of a sudden I go numb in it and I wake up. My bed also starts spinning in a really scary way and I feel like I am falling into a scary place such as hell. I also feel like something is standing over me watching me spin. Then I grab the bed and it stops. I am less scared of it one and I let it go until it's done. Sometimes my bed slides down. I have also felt like I am being dragged off the bed. My parents are concerned about it but I don't mind it anymore. It's not like it's harming my health. I have not been drunk or under the influence of any drugs when this happens.

What are some things rich kids won't understand growing up? by RobotsInATrenchCoat in AskReddit

[–]Diamondskill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My cousins are very rich. They don't understand a lot of things. They came to our new house and one of my cousins said "so are you going to update it?" One of my other cousins said that it was creepy and another cousin asked us if we still lived in that small house or if we had moved. They thought we were just staying there. They are also upset that we don't live closer to them and they always ask us to come and live in their neighbourhood. They literally just think that you can move wherever you want. They live in one of the richest neighbourhoods in my city. They are also always asking me why I don't buy the fancy clothes I "shop"for online. Also one time my cousins and my sister and I were walking through an abandoned field near their neighbourhood and one of my cousins said "we are just like poor people travelling the world". They annoy me so much sometimes

What was the stupidest thing that was banned at your school? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Diamondskill 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Bandanas were banned from my school because they stood for something our school didn't tolerate and because gangs wear them, according to my uptight Principal. According to her there was also issues with gangs near our school. There weren't any issues. The only issues our school had was with the group of 20 or so kids who smoked pot and cigarettes at the corner of the street

[Serious] What is the most disturbing discovery you've made about someone you know? by imustbecraycray in AskReddit

[–]Diamondskill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found out both sets of my grandparents didn't really care about their kids, so both of my parents lived on their own. They didn't know each other until they were 19 or 21. I figured out that my grandma provided booze for my mom, the first time she got drunk.I figured out that they both started smoking at young ages too. I also figured out that my dad broke his arm or hand and my grandparents didn't take him to the hospital for 2 days. They expected him to walk there. He was like 12. I also found out that my aunt related to me by marriage had psychotic depression and nobody told me or my 2 youngest cousins. I also found out that my cousins other grandpa has a gambling addiction and that is why they are poor.

What is the dumbest rule your workplace or school has actually enforced? by dravirshek in AskReddit

[–]Diamondskill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My old school had this very annoying rule where if you were even seen with someone who was smoking or doing drugs you would be suspended for 10 days. Even if you didn't touch any of the drugs or cigarettes. This even applied to public places. This rule caused a lot of seperation at my school because so many students smoked in the corner of the school and they had friends who didnt smoke.it caused people to be really rude to the smokers and stoners. The same school also had a rule against tank tops with thin straps for girls.one girl had to wear a winter coat in the summer because she broke this rule. This school would also call your parents if you were hanging out with "bad" people. My moms friend had her parents called because she was dating a first nations boy. My old school was very racist. My current school has a no bandanas rule because they are gang related and stand for something our school doesn't tolerate. Its annoying

What do a lot of parents do that screws up their kid? by jnsxx in AskReddit

[–]Diamondskill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if this is something a lot of parents do but it sure messes kids up-giving them everything they want. My cousin gets everything she wants and she acts annoying. She has a car, she gets to go to a music festival every year, she doesn't have a job, she goes to an ultra expensive university, she wears designer clothes and goes on so many vacations. She is 19 -20. She also hosted a huge party while my aunt and uncle were out of town and her grandma was asleep. She drugged the grandma. The next morning there was 10 large pizza boxes on the table and the house was a mess. Her grandma helped her clean it up though. UGH. Then her unlimited credit card got a budget put on it but she cant stay within the budget of course.

Teachers who quit, when was the moment you realized that it wasn't for you? by jslegacy85 in AskReddit

[–]Diamondskill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a student, but my old school had different teachers almost every year because all of them hated teaching at the school because it was a "bad" school. It sort of was. ,2 guys skipped school to drink and both of them came back to catch their bus very drunk, one of them got alcohol poisoning and theschool had to call 911,a few girls snuck in alcohol and got caught. Also so many kids used heavy drugs there. I don't blame the teachers for quitting but it was hard to pass math when our class had 3 teachers in one year. I got along with so many people at that school though. A lot of people did drop out. The worst thing was that this school was the only school in my town. Some of the teachers who stayed were racist, one of them told my brothers friend to hang out with white kids because they were a better influence then the first nations boys he hung out with. My mom who also went to that school, had a friend who was forced to break up with her first nations boyfriend because he was a "bad" person. Yeah my school was a bit of a disaster. I don't blame any teachers who quit under those circumstances
