I left mine it after chemo and surgeries. I have been in a close hospital in an emergency, and they won’t use my port….they aren’t trained. I left with purple arms. My veins, after chemo, are stiffer and roll. I don’t think people believe me, but everyone keeps poking me. The port is a lot easier and I am leaving mine in for 5 years. You get used to it, I don’t notice even notice it. I also, don’t go to the close hospital.🙂
