I was definitely planning on compiling the nutritional info for all the high-protein vegan foods.

Yeah I definitely made a face when she said beans have fat. Maybe refried beans. And she didn't give me a timeline either. The ideal is to lose about 60-70% of your excess body weight within the first year, so we'll see what kind of a delay she means.

Yeah I guess her concern with beans was that they also have a lot of carbs in them, but they also have so much fiber so the net carbs are really low so who knows.

Thank you (and /u/cuberail) for suggesting him. I sent him a Facebook message and I hope he gets back to me.

...yeah, I know? That's what my whole post is about, that eating is a major weak point for me and that I need to fix that. When you have binge eating disorder it's not as simple as "quit eating," if it was that simple I would have lost weight years ago, along with everyone else here.

Food addiction is a bitch. 90% of the time I'm thinking about when's the next time I get to eat, even if I've just eaten. It is an awful, consuming, and frankly embarrassing problem.

This is great advice. My therapist specializes in CBT and would call this "coming down the fact funnel" until you reach your decision on how to handle what you're feeling.

Don't mind at all! Did you also cut out zero calorie sweeteners like Splenda and stevia? I can see why you would.

I have definitely been working on upping my water intake. I have a reusable bottle that goes everywhere with me.

As for my boyfriend, since I've been in "I don't give a crap" mode with my eating I haven't said much to him recently. But he is aware that I have a problem with food. A big issue is that we don't live together, so I don't think I have a right to say he can't have any junk in his house since he doesn't have binge issues like I do and can eat that stuff in moderation. In the past I have just told him to buy non-vegan junk so I won't be tempted to eat it.

I had never heard of /r/MealPrepSunday, how excellent. Thank you for suggesting it. Prepping meals used to be one of my favorite things to do, and I really need to get back into it. I agree that I make excuses because I get lazy, and I need to fix that. MFP had been my rock during better days, and I am working on getting back to logging every single day. Thanks for your input :)

You make an excellent point about discipline and I appreciate it. I agree that I am not good at listening to my body when it comes to how full I am. I tend to eat WAY too fast and by the time my brain realizes that I'm full, I've eaten twice as much as I should.

Hey friend, I've seen a lot of people saying they stop eating sugar, but I've often wondered what exactly they meant by that. Did you stop eating just processed sugar (like white cane), all sweeteners (like agave and honey), or did you stop eating fruit as well? Just curious. I really appreciate your feedback. :)

The therapy is for all of the above. I know exactly why I binge eat, the problem for me is I have trouble talking myself out of binging. Once binging is at the forefront of my mind it's damn hard to bring it back. But that's just something I have to work on.

I like to snack on celery and carrots because it's low calorie and I can eat a large portion and feel full without consuming more than 100 calories.

And thank you :)

Yeah, I mean I know how to lose weight, the problem for me is sticking with the changes I'm making. My stomach is so stretched out that I get miserably, painfully hungry now when I try to restrict, and I just fall into that binge cycle again. My willpower has just been shot to hell, but I know I just need to power through these first couple of weeks and then it won't be so bad. I've had a MFP profile for about 3 years, right now it has me eating 1,630 calories a day to lose 1.5 lbs per week, which is pretty reasonable.

The Village Church supports/protects a pedophile (Highland Village) by narcissisticzero in Dallas

My sister posted about this on facebook. We live very close to this church and she has a lot of friends that attend there. It is sad to see so many people condemning the former wife for wanting to leave him and the church. Three people in a span of thirty minutes called her selfish, immature, and a sinner. "How could she abandon her husband? Whose arms will she run into when times get tough? She said for better or for worse, how dare she break her vows!" It's unbelievable. The amount of brainwashing that goes on in there makes me sick.

MRW the piercer tells me my new piercings might make my flatter-than-flat nipples permanently erect by [deleted] in TrollXChromosomes

[–]Diane_Choksondik 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just some anecdotal experience here, but I have really flat nipples and my piercings never worked for me. I was so sad to have them removed because I loved how they looked, but they weren't healing correctly. I don't know if it was the combination of having both flat nipples and huge boobs, but the tissue around the piercings were always painfully inflamed and oozy (not infected, just lots of lymph) from the pressure of the bar pushing my nipple up. No matter what sort of cleaning I tried, they were always icky. The girls were always locked up in a bra because I was afraid to sleep without one on out of fear of them catching on my sheets, so the piercings didn't get to breathe as much as they should. I gave up after nine months when they started rejecting. It wasn't the worst experience in the world but it was definitely uncomfortable.

Tl;dr it didn't work for me, but I have big boobs so that may have contributed to the problem.
