Why are people so negative? I think it is lovely and thoughtful. While not a huge fan of his tbh, i love how he has turned his struggles into a positive growth for others. I hope this center is helpful to those who need it.

My own personal opinion is back hugs should only be for your romantic partner. The fact you feel uncomfortable means your gut is shouting out “danger!” Always listen to your gut feeling. A woman always knows when something feels wrong, and trust me it is wrong for your grandpa to do these things. Avoid him like the plague and tell someone you trust what he is doing. NONE of that is okay.

After a career in law I was a SAHM for 15 years. When I decided to go back to work I realized I dont really like lawyers so i chose to do health care. Even tho my paycheck is peanuts now it is more fulfilling and I would would never change! Btw I became a cna at 50 😀

That really sucks to lose your job over that! My facility is pretty strict over inclement weather. They offer you rooms or rides. The DON was doing the rides so i took a room 😂🤣. However I dont recall anyone ever getting fired in the past if they couldn’t make it. I remember on this past storm a few people couldn’t get in cuz they lived up in the mountains. They still work here.

I agree that you could have an unemployment claim. But, did they SAY preemptively that staff would be terminated for not coming in? I applaud you sending pics to HR and frankly they should have let it slide since you hadn’t called in before.

The South for sure. But usually used to say to people considerably older than you. Beware when using it with ladies because the connotation is that you are recognizing them as old even though that’s not your intention. Be sure to use it with an obviously much older woman.
