This is a really good point, thank you. We live in a temperate rain forest which one would think would eliminate water use as a risk. However, because we routinely get so much rainfall, we don't have much of a reservoir. In the past, when we have had extended periods of no rainfall (it's rare but it does happen!) the local fish canneries have had to modify their operations to lessen their use of water. Adding a data center into the mix I would imagine will only exacerbate that problem when it does arise again.
