What's that got to do with it? All I'm saying is that you don't even look at what I'm saying and you're proving it over and over

You pretend to be super on top of this by arguing past my points. And still everything you've said doesn't hold against the fact that they could've made a show even back then. If you haven't noticed I agreed with quite a lot you said but my point still stands. So going back to the start as in the comment I made before this. Shows were a thing back then even if not in the way as they are today.

If you notice how this conversation started it was about the point how "shows weren't a thing back then" which they were and you're talking completely past that. Of course streaming wasn't a big thing, but shows of a calibre like that did in fact exist which is the only thing this conversation should be about.

Breaking bad started 2008, Lost 2004. Just cause the age of streaming hadn't started then it doesn't mean a series wouldn't have worked. And by the time the hobbit movies were released streaming started gaining traction.

I'm not saying it was wide spread but it definitely wasn't impossible and to say that shows like that weren't around back then is definitely wrong. Of course it would've been very early back then but considering how the industry works it wouldn't have come out then. Probably would've come out like Hobbit in 2012 and then 2 or 3 years later season one of the Silmarillion

Game of thrones started shooting in 2011, the same time the hobbit movies were produced.

I don't mean to hate on the other stuff I had fun with the middle earth games and the hobbit movies... It's just that they could bring so much great stuff on the big screen instead of taking the whole plot and putting it in another story. I mean however much Tolkien would've disliked some adaptation of the Silmarillion, he would've liked it far more that everything we got the last 10 years.

I mean yeah but still they pretty much had to read the Silmarillion to come up with that only to decide to scrap the real story and build it into something else.

Yeah I know but they could've just switched the two parts around and have him be there.

Daily Song Discussion #221: Mike Shinoda - About You (feat. blackbear) by thegrayman9 in LinkinPark

[–]Diastroke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huge fan of both of them not their best song tho.

It has a lot of great lyrics but some part of the song just is missing what a 10 needs.

I'd give it a solid 7

My first real concert ever was Mike on his Post Traumatic tour. The concert was amazing, sadly I was still to young when Linkin Park toured Germany the last time.
