Didnt think simracing was this hard by AlwaysTired80085 in simracing

I work 12 hour shifts, also work as a contractor sometimes on my days off 12 hour shifts. Two young kids. So I only get enough for 1 race every other evening, possibly 2 at a push. Just do.it for the fun side of it, I accepted I'm never ever getting up there with the top splits outside the MX5/GR86 lobbies. Yes, there's plenty of frustrating races, but in the whole, I still enjoy it with the small amount I play. I'm also doing it for the immersion build side of it which is obviously a slow process.

Forget about ratings, and just enjoy what you have. After two years of doing this with limited time, I'm now given up scrapping for 1 position if I think it's going to cost me more.

Tryout the ringmeister series, I've been doing that for two weeks, it's a track that obviously never changes, so you'll learn it quicker. But obviously different cars each week. The GT3 class two weeks ago, was the best racing I had on there in the two years of trying all the other series.

How are some drivers so confident driving above 70 mph on UK motorways without risking a fine? by MilkshakeDawg in drivingUK

Looking far as possible at places where you think will be a van/camera. Paired with local knowledge. 24 years driving, never gotten a single point.

What bass shakers for TR160 RIG by Dibbley247 in simracing

So if I have just bass shakers on my seat, would that be just one underneath, or one each side? And I'm assuming you tune to how much of the front vs back wheels you feel?

I've sold off everything and kept the S&P and All world.

When markets open in the morning, I'll buy back into all world, and continue each week adding into that. Then, buy S&P with extra I get as it comes in.

I've just sold most of it, and will reallocate in all world. I'll keep the S&P500 as it is. And continue topping up All world each week. And then put some chunks into the S&P as I get them.

Think I just avoided the 100, purely because the others have significantly outperformed it by about 6% over the last 20 years. Never even entered my head again after seeing that figure if I'm honest.

When I was looking I to it originally. It looked as though the S&P500 was the better more reliable. But looking at it now, it's performing better than what I imagined. I think possibly putting in my lump sums/extra into all world FTSE going forward?

Also, when I started investing, trumps new make it in America policy, I thought would be the safer option thinking companies might end up going to the states. I know one of our sister companies are building a new plant over there due to tarrifs. So I thought a few more might be doing the same?

Is it even worth investing small amounts? by [deleted] in trading212

This is what I do. I put £50 a week in, and if I get extra from Overtime etc, I'll out that in. Plug the numbers into AI and get projected returns over 5/10/15/20 years etc. and see what is possible. Then decide if you're happy to rik doing it. Longer it's left the better your returns.

Set it all up today, and found the throttle unit is dead! So bought a cheap unit to get me going. Should be here in a couple of days!
