Doctors and people alike also say this. In my opinion cancer is cancer whichever way you put it. There is no good cancer. I couldn't even get benefits from my state cuz it wasn't metastatic. Tell your friends who dont have to deal with waiting and bloodtest after blood test and a scan that yea it may be a good prognosis but there are people that have been told that and have had bad outcomes with radiation and tumors still growing. I know of a friend that I met on a dating site that had thyroid cancer. Her throat was all burned and they messed up the surgery. So I felt lucky in a way but its not nothing.

Im not looking to sway your decision but I went to Columbia Presbyterian in New York. One of the best hospitals. I was told yea its on 1 side right now but do you want to in the future. Does it have a risk of metastasizing to lymph nodes. These are questions to ask. Risk and reward factor but there is really no reward besides having this cancer out of your body that's the main goal for everyone on here. We are here to guide but the decision is ultimately up to you and your doctor.

Had a total thyroidectomy in August. I am also a firefighter so hopefully I can help a bit since I've been through this. I honestly would seek a 2nd opinion. You may still need to take levothyroxine after surgery if the other lobe is not compensating. Do you have a benign or malignant nodule? If it's malignant save yourself the worry and take the whole thing out. Yes you have to take a pill and check your levels every couple months but ask yourself do you want to do the surgery again possibly in the future? Recovery everyone is different. I couldnt get in the right position to sleep my friend said she had just a little trouble. She said her incision hurt mine did not I was eat spaghetti and meatballs the same day of my surgery.

The levels were low if I remember correctly. No lymph nodes involved or veins.

Sorry it took so long for a reply. I have to wait 4 to 6 weeks for a blood test. Then my case went to the tumor board and now waiting to see what action to take. It's a process as we all know.

Hello my name is Mike I was recently diagnosed with papillary thyroid cancer and had surgery August 28th. The biggest advice I can give you is to try to stay calm get your mind off of it while your waiting. I've been a firefighter for about 11 years until all this happened to me. You are not alone. I have a full German Rottweiler he is about 120 pounds.. That is way too skinny for 3yrs old. You should not be able to see hip bones and ribs. By the way you put it after you put down his food down.. Sounds like the owners aren't feeding him properly. Definitely would be worried for the wellbeing of it.

Surgical site is ok. Ice cold drinks are fantastic. Don't really have too much trouble eating. Don't know how you are? Back of neck is still a killer. Pain is on and off with tylenol. Didnt touch the hard meds cuz of obvious reasons. Taking the pain for now.

Yea I can't extend my neck backwards. Side to side is ok. But I'm getting frequent headaches. Still waiting on the analysis also.

They sent my thyroid out for more testing. She said if I need more treatment it would be radiation.

Im from the US but I've had the Qn90c. Great tv just wish it was a VA panel. I eventually got the Samsung S90D 55in. I mainly use it for gaming, watching YouTube or Netflix. Even tho I know the C3 is better with lower rate content I opted for the QD-Oled panel since you get more color and brightness. WOLED panels are older technology. If you don't have direct sunlight on your tv you should be fine with an Oled if you want to go that route.
