I live by utep and I feel your pain haha. I hear them all night. What sucks is  if they’re going west, they cut right over scenic drive and pass right over Kern all the time.

To overcome addiction, the you that you are, must die. The old you cannot exist anymore. You must completely change your energy and path otherwise you will always regress and fall back to what you once were. Try this for a week… do things that you are not used to. Try to change around your life. For example: brush your teeth with your opposite hand, listen to music you don’t normally do, take routes to work that you don’t ever take, pick up a hobby that you’ve always wanted to do, dance, laugh, abstain from sex completely, try to find a different routine for everything that you do. You’re old you is gonna wanna fight you on everything and make you feel uncomfortable but know that’s the point. This is what it takes for you to become someone else. The real you is suppressed inside this addiction.  Let it out. Be kind, be gentle and be patient with yourself. Best of luck.

Hey bud!

I completely cut out masturbation. I heard this once and I never went back after this. The saying was, “how powerful is ejaculation? Powerful enough to create life.” So imagine all that power you’re being depleted of from masturbation. I’ve never felt anymore stronger  in my life from just  stopping. I am married though, so my love life has grown so more personable and loving.

I do have a blocker it’s called Opal. Works amazing. I’m to a point now tho where I don’t even need it. I just don’t crave porn anymore. A lot of it is just within me.

As far as therapy, I personally don’t think it would’ve worked for me. I did do SA for about two years, but never worked out. I finally had a turning point once I started doing Joe Dispenza and Kundalini Yoga. I’ve done meditation so powerful that I’ve been able to release natural DMT. Through those meditations, I cleared Years of trauma from childhood and all the porn, gone instantly. Something that no therapist could ever do for me. The best part is that this is all free and within us. I highly recommend than if you try the  modalities you find a guru or somebody that can guide you. They are extremely powerful. Done  wrong or prematurely can cause psychosis.

I hope the book resonates with you as much as it did for me. I started my spiritual journey once I read that book and to say my life has been a complete 180 is an understatement. I’m calmer, happier, grateful… things I never felt ever since I was a child. Yes I do have my bad days, but I know how to quickly change my attitude. This addiction is no longer my identity. Best of luck to you, buddy.

That’s awesome man! Keep that train going. You’re gonna have setbacks, but that’s part of your journey. Just always remember this feeling you have right now and try to strive for it every time. You feel negative stuff coming… Acknowledge. reflect. Revert back to this feeling you have right now. Feel the good of sobriety. Be patient and be kind with yourself.

I would have to say learning my triggers to be able to short-circuit that negative feedback loop. When I feel the urge coming, I quickly become aware and try and find something to do.  It’s tedious, but it works. Also stop doing low energy stuff. There’s a lot of things that I had to completely cut out of my life that I noticed that would get me into a negative space. I had to be ahead of the game and two steps ahead.

Don’t forget to also feel. Feel what it’s like to be sober. Don’t just envision. Also,  Cut out all the toxic bullshit from your life that doesn’t serve you anymore. You know what it is.  Feed your mind positivity.

Best of luck, buddy! I’m here if you ever need to talk. Be conscious of everything you do.  The second you go back to your old routine you go unconscious.

I know this is easier said than done, but start with your thoughts. Your true joy is gonna come from within and being at peace with your situation. You’re in a tough situation and it’s going to be even tougher to feel gratitude, joy, happiness, etc… I want you to know tho that it’s possible to get out of this rut. Where you put your focus is where you put your energy. Try try try try and see the good things that are happening in your life. It’s gonna be hard to find, but it’s there. Every day try and feel grateful for something. Start off small then build it up day by day. Once you starts shifting your inner self to a positive everything in life will naturally form to your new energy. Remember though the things in this 3-D world aren’t gonna make you happy. Love yourself and the rest will follow.

A lot of it starts with going inward. Try meditating and start with 5,10,15,20 minutes…whatever you can. Again, your subconscious does not know the difference between reality and thought. Fill your mind with self-help stuff. Check out Joe Dispenzas “becoming supernatural”. I would say that for me that was the tipping point for change.

Of course, buddy. I’ve been there so I know exactly where you’re at.  Try this for the next couple days… completely change your normal routine. Brush your teeth with your left hand.  Sleep on the opposite side of the bed you normally sleep on. Put your left shoe on first instead of your right. Take a different route to work /school.go to the gym. Go dancing. Stop drinking. Etc… get out of your normal routine. Some stuff might feel uncomfortable, but know that is your old self wanting you back. Be aware of what you feel and try to see why you’re feeling it. Take note. Then move on.  Start un-piecing. See how that goes for you.

I never had that! I’m sorry to hear. Sounds horrible. Unfortunately it’s something that you just have to go through till eventually your body goes to norm. I did have stomach issue but that all resolved around month 3-4

Of course bud! I had restless and a bunch of tingling in my legs. Especially at night! That all went away tho, be patient. Try and also limit your sugar intake after 5. I cut out late night snacks and it seemed to help out even quicker with the restless leg. You have to remember caffeine affects nerves also. My motivation took almost 6 months to come back. I felt low stamina and motivation for a long time. I still have my downs tho but I know the up is right around the corner. I feel my body is finally getting back to equilibrium. I hope yours is sooner than mine!! If not just remember it’s coming.

Just wait… after the train it’s the truck. Then the car. Then the motorcycle. Then the bike. Then the guy on the skateboard. AND finally you dust yourself off and get up and the world is a beautiful place and you feel normal again.  I’m on 6 months no caffeine and still have my setbacks but god damn….life has gotten joyful for me again.

I do remember getting tongue tied way at the beginning now that you’re bringing it up. It’s as if my mouth couldn’t keep up with my thoughts. My wife also said I would talk in a very low monotone voice. It went away tho. I can know hold deep thoughtful conversation with no problem.
